A very proud Principal Jack Nelson with the LHS Football Public League Champs trophy 12/20/23. Congratulations, Lincoln!
Scott Fletcher, Eddie Grove and I, Joe Nonemaker, went to the school and placed our memorabilia into the new showcases, everything looks great.
Good morning dear friends!
We had a meeting with school officials which evenuated into a venue of mutual success to all parties! Scott, Louise and I were present. Leading the meeting was Principal Jack Nelson and members of his staff.
The show case: It turns our that the school maintenance dept. tried to move the case in order to make more room in the area for another project and in so doing it began to come apart including the shattering of the glass panels due to flexing and the decision was made to dispose of the case. The deriding factor here, in my opinion, was that they failed to notify us of such situation however they were under no obligation to do so as it is their property, not ours but it would have been a courtesy. The school has purchased two brand new show cases @ at cost of $2600 +/- each for the display of appropriate items.
Scholarship Awards: We may continue these starting next year.
Alumni Assoc. Meetings at the School: These will continue and the first meeting of the school year will be Monday, October 2, 2023 at 6PM and we are always looking for new members.
We are looking forward to continuing our age-old tradition of service to Lincoln Students, Graduates and Alumni.
Sincerely,
Joe Nonemaker, President
