Dr. Tia Lyles-Williams, founder and CEO of LucasPye BIO, is creating a new community-powered infrastructure for the biotech industry in Philadelphia. Driven by the personal experience of losing family members due to inequities in healthcare, she is creating solutions for more equitable access to lifesaving medical treatment and professional opportunities for underserved communities.
To meet her goals, she relies on her 11 years of education, 22 years of working experience, and tireless dedication, sometimes culminating in 100-hour work weeks! She has also built a talented workforce, including a majority of women of color C-suite executives and over 30 community hires. Dr. Lyles-Williams has quickly pivoted past any ‘no’s’ to be the first LBGTQ+ African American woman to own and lead a biopharma manufacturing company at just 39 years old.

There's been a lot activity around LucasPye BIO & IndyGeneUS AI with regard to our historic partnership
This is a teaser to provide a bit of background on myself & Yusuf Henriques. He, his co-founders & myself are all graduates of the illustrious Howard University. To be specific, Yusuf and I are both graduates of the Howard University 2005 Undergraduate Class.
We were members of the same study group with Charlene Latimore, Shannon Reid White & Scott K. Graves. Fast forward, our collaboration and commitment was predestined. We simply had take our respective paths on the road less traveled to execute.
