A group of students in Mr. Xavier's Science class completed an entomology project that delved into the life cycle of butterflies. 🦋 This project highlighted the intricate and delicate nature of butterfly development and also provided a hands-on learning experience that emphasized the importance of biodiversity and ecological balance. Rotary Club of Philadelphia selected senior Juan Vargas to receive the 2023-24 Hideko and Akira Kaji Scholarship. The memorial scholarship honors two prominent past members of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. Juan and his family were invited to the monthly Rotary Club meeting at the Pyramid Club last Thursday to receive his award, which will be used for his tuition at LaSalle University. Select Redevelopment is a Philadelphia based real estate development organization focusing making a positive impact in the city through meaningful development ! Students expressed their gratitude for the experience and gained great knowledge for their future.✨

The Broaden Horizons Mentorship Program went to the Franklin Institute Lego Exhibition! A great day of bonding and fun!✨

The junior class was given the opportunity to earn their CPR and First Aid training. They participated in a 6-hour training session where they learned first aid basics including warning signs and emergency care for various health emergencies. In addition, our students were trained on adult, infant, and child CPR. Our hope is that our students will use these skills in the event of an emergency and most importantly, in their postsecondary adventures! ✨ A huge thank you to the Markham family for making this possible for our students! ✨
