Today Ayesha, one of our Tuesday turtles 🐢, came to clinic and showed us this fun video! Her family is from Pakistan and she taught us all about Ramadan today and daily fasting with numbers in range! She started an International Club at MAST Charter, and yesterday they had International Day where all the students dressed in clothes from and brought food from their home countries. (You can see the beautiful henna art that her mom drew in the comments!)

Authors among us!! 🌟 Sandy, one of our amazing diabetes educators has been busy signing preorders of her new BOOK! 📕 🖊 From the back cover: "This book started as a way to cope, a reminder to breathe as I raised three boys, including Ben, who was diagnosed with autism at age 2. It tells our story – from experiencing the complex emotions of fear and guilt at hearing the diagnosis, to fighting tooth-and-nail with the school district to get Ben the services he needed." Congratulations Sandy, Ben and family! 💙

We’re live with Ken Rodenheiser, a certified diabetes educator in our Center and Megan Robinson, a clinical dietitian and certified diabetes educator in our Center. With spring approaching, it’s important for our patients and families to know how to balance their diabetes both on and off the field. Feel free to send us questions throughout the session.
