Fully improvised action-adventure story in the style of Classic Doctor Who
Happy Star Wars Day to BLANK The Improvised Star Wars Story!
Have a great run !
25 years ago today (12th March 1999): The Doctor Who parody/mini-adventure The Curse of Fatal Death was transmitted on BBC One in aid of Comic Relief.
This featured Rowan Atkinson, Richard E Grant, Jim Broadbent, Hugh Grant and Joanna Lumley as alternative versions of the Ninth to Thirteenth Doctors, with Julia Sawalha as the Doctor's companion/fiancee as Emma and Jonathan Pryce as the Master. This was also the last time Roy Skelton voiced the Daleks.
The first half of the story is set on Tersurus, a planet first mentioned in The Deadly Assassin, and was the first televised story to be written by future regular Doctor Who writer and executive producer Steven Moffat.
