James D. Morrissey crews on behalf of Northpoint Development Co. of Kansas City, Mo. took on the massive redevelopment of the former US Steel Facility in Morrisville, Pa. Morrissey Crews worked diligently and dealt with many challenges but were able to deliver on time the overall 88-million-dollar site development. Crews pushed through weather and delivered a up and coming FEDEX Facility which is 1.4 million sq ft and sits on approximately 181 acres as the first portion of the massive project. Three additional buildings were completed within the same timeline, each over 1 million plus sq. feet. The final stage of the site development included site preparation for a future Lidl facility; Morrissey crews completed the site excavation and utility prep to the Lidl property efficiently and on time. Morrissey crews simultaneously redeveloped the interior rail yard system as part of Northpoint's plan, along with new or redirected roadways to handle the future commerce. James D. Morrissey proudly supports Northpoint Development and its initiative to develop this former manufacturing site and bring commerce and employment to the Buicks County area.

James D Morrissey forces started a new 50 acre project for
of Malvern Pa in January of this year! The project consists of (2) newly constructed 350,000 SF Warehouses along with 3 Bio Basins, soil remediation on-site to strengthen the soils as well as onsite utilities. The off-site will consist of demolition of a pedestrian bridge which spans across Roosevelt Boulevard as well as some drainage and lane alteration work to help better access the site. James D Morrissey crews are working diligently as spring has brought plenty of showers but even with the persistent rain events can’t slow our momentum! Our crews have the hammer down and summer will be here before we know it! The project is being completed on behalf of the owner Rockefeller Group of Morristown, NJ.
Today Keith Gay and Jim Furey were the Career fair at .bcths in Fairless Hills, Pa. We had the opportunity to meet and talk with the students about future job opportunities with our company.

Work started in Package 1 which consisted of underground retention basins, Grading and paving of Service road, a 56-hour shut down to mill and replace Asphalt at the intersection of runways 13/31 and 26/10.
Package 2 and 3 involved changing the cross slope of runway 26/10 and the milling and paving of numerous taxiways. This work also included a 72-hour shut down to complete final lift of asphalt on runway, placement of centerline lights and painting of runway and taxiways.

James D. Morrissey crews north of the Poconos have been very busy and getting it done!! 14 years later and 30 miles of 4 lane roadway with shoulders along with 27 Bridges on I-84 in Pike and Wayne county the work continues. Since Penn-Dot will not allow Temporary barrier or Bi-directional traffic until April 1 of every year and completion with traffic back to normal travel pattern by Thanksgiving it makes every construction season a-challenge. Most seasons start off with building crossovers then the complete removal of roadway, guardrail, structures and drainage (some cuts are 30’ or more) and replaced. We are looking forward to another 8 months of chaotic fun and continued success.
James D. Morrissey forces working on behalf of Northpoint Development of Kansas City Missouri, help construct and develop the revitalization of the old US Steel Facility in Morrisville, PA over the past 2 years. JDM was contracted to assist in the demolition of existing buildings and infrastructure to make room for a new 1.4 million square foot FEDEX Distribution Facility. Also in the development of the new Keystone Industrial Trade Center were 3 other logistic style warehouses as well as the site development and preparation of a future building pad site for a Lidl Supermarkets Warehouse. Our crews also
constructed and developed rail yard in the North and West Ends of the facility to insure the flow of freight as well. JDM utilized all in house forces for demolition, earthwork, infrastructure utilities, grading and paving of over 600 acres of the site. As part of our presence at Keystone, JDM Materials Division opened a portable Concrete Redi-Mix Plant to assist in all the concrete on-site. Lastly, we developed and/or refurbished 3 sewage pumping stations. Another project from the office to the field the men and women of James D. Morrissey knocked it out of the park!!
James D. Morrissey crews have had the hammer down on our I-95/I-276 Section D30 project. Not letting 16” of rain in December and January and dealing with the rapid waters of the Neshaminy from the frequent storms hinder our focus, crews have been making great progress!!
