Yesterday was “National Hug a Drummer Day.” Our very own lab technician Megan is a drummer since the age of 8 years.

This fashionable patient, being into art and style, came in requesting a hard/soft night guard in blue. Our lab produces these digitally to protect our patients teeth with exceptional accuracy. We only produce hard surfaces guards based on research of J. Okeson (JADA, 1987) who found fully soft guards increase, not decrease, neuromuscular activity.

Sometimes we have to pull out the old trusted techniques— this heavy grinder patient needed a temporary to last her a few summer weeks away without breaking. Dr. Marion used the stainless steel crown until the 3D digital zirconia crown will be ready.
