Find the beauty in chaos 🌪️💋
Sometimes you book a balayage trying to get old color out of your hair but, you and your stylist decide a gloss and a treatment sounds better.
It’s all fun and games getting to a goal color until you no longer have hair on your head at all 😂 (I won’t allow it)

Hi! My name is Nina. My journey in this industry began in 2021 when I moved to the city from Doylestown, PA. I’ve been at Architeqt since fall of 2022 and I am so grateful to be learning more about my trade in such an incredible environment. I have a passion for creating lived-in, sun-kissed looks. Apart from the cutting, coloring and styling, the most rewarding part of my job is cultivating fun and long-lasting relationships with cool people.
When I’m not at Architeqt, I enjoy spending my time, seeing live music, crocheting, and exploring philly’s vibrant restaurant scene with my friends! It’s safe to say that I am chronically online, and I love tik-tok and YouTube! I could talk about current pop culture for hours.
Dark makes light appear brighter. Here added depth to blonde hair with darker tones to make the existing highlights stand out on . Adding depth through modern low lighting or reverse balayage is a great way to enhance highlights and refresh color while keeping it low maintenance and healthy.

Hi all, let me take a moment to reintroduce myself and conclude our series highlighting our Architeqt team.
I’m Alexey.
With over two decades in the hair industry, I've built an exciting career as an entrepreneur, salon owner, and stylist. I opened my first salon, Architeqt, back in 2012, followed by Architeqt North in 2014 and salon INDY just last year. I've also founded various beauty side ventures like DOM and Hairdojo over the years. My latest endeavor is launching Architeqt Color Bar by the end of this year with my partner Alba.
I specialize in minimalist, wearable hairstyles for clients. Dry cutting has been my passion for 20 years - I've developed my own unique approach and love sharing it with my team. I'm fascinated by the intersection of tech and beauty, always seeking new ways to advance the industry through hair tools, AI, and other innovation.
I draw inspiration from philosophy, art, live music, architecture, and the talented colleagues I've met over the years who push me creatively.
To recharge, I travel the world tasting delicious food, exploring sights, and learning new things. Krav Maga is my go-to for de-stressing, working out, and preparing for another week of business building and being behind the chair.
Even after 23 years in this business, I remain passionate about the art and craft and look forward to growing my business with good friends and colleagues by my side.
Hi, I'm Victoria, the manager at Architeqt. I've been a part of the salon since we first opened our doors in 2012. My role here is to keep everything running smoothly, from managing schedules and inventory to ensuring that our awesome staff is happy and thriving. A big part of the job that I enjoy is the relationships I get to build with our team and wonderful clients.
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me recharging by spending time with my dog babies and surrounded by friends and family as much as possible.
Hi! my name is Tevy and I have been working at Architeqt for a little over three years now. My inspiration for hair sparked from surrounding myself around the visual arts. I apprenticed under Alexey and furthered my craft through the education our salon offers.
As a kid, I was always into music and poetry and would often sketch drawings from my favorite artists. I also loved learning my favorite songs and playing them on the piano or guitar. When I’m not at work, I like to edit videos, play video games and sometimes put on a spontaneous photo shoot of my newest outfit. I have experience with having my own YouTube channel and enjoy streaming video games as an opportunity to share more about myself.
I always knew in life I’d be happy with doing something that I love. I am happy to say I love coming to the salon to build myself as a stylist and to build relationships amongst the clients and my lovely co-workers.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for almost 2 years and have been at Architeqt since summer 2023 as part of their apprenticeship program.
I really love doing blonde projects as well as fun vivid colors. I get a lot of inspiration from street fashion and enjoy walking around the city and seeing fun looks on people. I love fashion and probably own way too much clothes. I also find a lot of inspiration working beside the talented stylists at Architeqt.
Back at home I have two very active husky’s and a very lazy cat whom I adore spending time with. On my free time I’m either hanging out with friends in the city or visiting my family in the Lehigh valley.
Congratulations to Chloe for completing her apprenticeship at Architeqt and moving on to be a stylist at our sister salon 🎆

Nina Kalaha
My journey in this industry began in 2021 when I moved to the city from Doylestown, PA. I’ve been an apprentice at Architeqt since fall of 2022 and I am so grateful to be learning more about my trade in such an incredible environment. I have a passion for creating beachy, sun kissed looks with lots of texture and movement. Apart from the cutting, coloring, and styling, the most rewarding part of my job is cultivating fun and long-lasting relationships with cool people.
When I’m not at Architeqt, I enjoy spending my time working behind the bar at cool spots around the city, seeing live music, and going out with friends! My guilty pleasure is tik-tok (I probably spend way too much time on there) and I could talk about pop culture icons for hours.
Hey there! My name is Amber and I’m the guest coordinator at Architeqt. I’ve worked in the salon industry since I was 19 years old. I love getting to meet all of the clients and make their salon experience special. I’ve only worked at Architeqt since the beginning of the year but it feels like home and I’m so grateful to be a part of the Architeqt team!
A passion of mine is photography and graphic design. I studied digital media at the art institute of Philadelphia for three years.
When I’m not working I love to recharge by hanging outside and putting my feet in the grass. I also love going out to try new foods at all of the wonderful restaurants around Philadelphia.
Elisa Delli
I've been a hair stylist since 2018. I'm proud to say that I've been at Architeqt salon for almost 6 years and I couldn't be happier to be part of such a talented team.
One of the things I love most about being a stylist is the opportunity to create big transformations for my clients that are easy to maintain. I enjoy creating looks that are both chic and effortless while always on the lookout for new techniques and trends to bring to my work.
When I'm not behind the chair, you can find me exploring the city's vibrant restaurant scene with friends. I've lived in Philly for over 25 years now, and I'm always discovering new hidden gems and local hotspots that I can't wait to share with others.
I'm also a bit of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to creative endeavors. I like to think I was born with the "how hard can it be" gene, and I'm always experimuenting with new recipes in the kitchen, tackling DIY projects around my home, and exploring everything in between.
Devon Distasio-Boone
Hi there! My name is Devon and I have been a stylist since 2019. I have been working at Architeqt since 2021, specializing in lived-in looks and blonde hair.
My inspiration comes from art and sculpture that surround us every day, both in nature and man-made. When I’m not behind the chair, I love to travel, to design homes, and explore nature.
My journey to becoming a stylist wasn't a straightforward path. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, I moved to Philadelphia to pursue a career as a Physicians Assistant. However, after working in a hospital, I realized my passion lies elsewhere. I decided to follow my heart, and now I love making people feel confident through my work at Architeqt.
Leo Vartas
I’m a hairstylist with over 16 years of experience. I originally came from Belarus and joined the Architeqt team in 2020.
Before coming to the United States, I worked with some of the most famous fashion magazines in the industry, including Vogue Paris, Marie Claire Spain, and Cosmopolitan Russia, among others. Additionally, I took part in the organization of shows at fashion weeks in Europe and Russia and served as a brand ambassador and educator for the Moroccan-oil Russia team.
I have a deep passion for art and beauty in all its forms. Many people have told me that I have a heightened sense of beauty, and I hope that's true. In 2013, I completed additional training at the Vidal Sassoon School of Hairdressing in London, and in 2017, I undertook training at the MOROCCANOIL academy in Barcelona.
Most recently, I completed an expedited apprenticeship in dry-cutting under Alexey at Architeqt.
My love of art extends beyond the world of hairstyling. My favorite artists are impressionists, including Kandinsky, Degas, Monet, Matisse, and Soutine. Their works inspire me in my hairdressing career.
I chose Philadelphia as the city to practice my art and inspiration, and I am proud to be a part of the Architeqt team.
Sithia Phongsouvanh
I have been at Architeqt for almost 8 years, where I’ve learned and honed skills in dry-cutting and coloring from an amazing team. What I love about being a hairstylist is connecting with my clients and being able to curate styles that are complimentary to their lifestyle. I like to do effortless, lived-in, timeless hair. I definitely draw inspiration from the seasons and mixed media. I feel that it all connects to the current trends that are ever-changing which I find really exciting.
To recharge I love to cuddle and be with my amazing 2 kiddos, going to the gym or spending time with family and friends. I’d love to travel more someday. History, art, food, and culture is definitely a passion that I can absolutely never get tired of learning and experiencing.
Bree Wise
I’ve been a stylist since 2013 and a member of the Architeqt team for almost 9 years where I have developed a deep passion for enhancing the natural tones within hair and creating shapes in various textures. My inspiration stems from the pure love I have for this craft, which began at an early age when I learned to braid hair. Having the opportunity to teach future generations the ins and outs of this craft keeps me motivated and inspired.
When I'm not in the salon, I love to recharge by spending quality time with my family and my two favorite fur babies, Buddha and Honcho. It's important for me to take time to unwind and refocus so that I can continue to bring my best to my clients.
Allison Flynn
My passion for hair and beauty began in 2011 when I started my journey as a stylist. Since then, I have been honing my skills and perfecting my craft.
For the last 7 years, I have been a part of the Architeqt team, where I have gained extensive training from great companies such as L’Oréal and Goldwell Academy, as well as California's Salon Nine Zero One.
I specialize in creating natural and lived-in hair looks that are both effortlessly chic and timeless. My inspiration comes from the world of fashion and design and pop culture, and I always strive to create unique and personalized styles for each of my clients.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my husband and boyys in the outdoors - the perfect way to recharge and stay inspired.
Sequoya Schofield
I have been a stylist 14 years in the making and Architeqt salon has been my home for the last 8 years. I enjoy dry cutting all different shapes and utilizing hair color to enhance its natural tonality.
I draw inspiration from nature, the textures and tones of landscapes both in the city and the country that we’re surrounded by. High fashion magazines and film have always given me inspiration to get out of my comfort zone. I enjoy all aspects of doing hair; cutting, coloring and styling because I believe variety is the spice of life.
In my personal time I’m usually tending to some DIY project or being outside fishing, snowboarding, traveling, hiking with my family and admiring birds. I love birds!
My passion for this industry is constantly chasing the dream of learning and being the best stylist I can be, and then passing that onto the next generation.
Alba Karabina
I've been in the beauty industry for over 8 years and working at Architeqt Salon for the past 7 years. My love for hair started at a young age and I have always enjoyed exploring different styles and techniques.
I specialize in balayage and dry cutting. I particularly enjoy lived in colors and shapes. I find it incredibly rewarding to transform my clients' hair into something they absolutely love.
My inspiration comes from art, travel and any shape and color that is out there and I am always looking for new and innovative ways to use my creativity to bring out the beauty in my clients. When I'm not in the salon, I love to travel and explore new cultures and new cuisines.
It’s been a minute, so we wanted to take the opportunity to introduce you to our amazing team. Some have been here from the start, others are newbies and everyone in between. These awesome humans are the foundation of our brand and they work tirelessly to make Philly a more beautiful place. One head at a time.
