This First Person Arts storytelling workshop will help you build the storytelling skills you need to tell your story and leave any audience captivated.

Engage your audience’s senses to make your story come alive.

Customize your story to fit your audience by choosing which details and events to include–and which to leave out!
All while telling your story in a way that allows you to share your authentic self with the world.

Betty J. Smithsonian is a comedian known for her energetic and authentic comedy, often drawing from her experiences as a sober Jewish le***an. She began her stand-up career in 2016 and quickly gained recognition, being named the Best of Philly Up-and-Coming Comedian in 2019 by Philadelphia Magazine. Betty regularly performs at Punchline Philly and is a co-founder of several initiatives, including the Bechdel Test Fest, Free Fringe Philly, and the Nacho Mic open mic. Her comedic style is described as high energy and life-changing, often lacking conventional takes on current events.
