When Liberty joined Charmcine we wanted to keep the brand mostly unchanged as long as possible. We love the unique culture that Liberty created but the complexities of multiple shops with different names has shown us a need to unify. Now it is time we bring our three shops together under one common name. Beginning today Liberty Camera is now Charmcine Philadelphia and we are merging our social accounts and websites. Please continue to follow us on the Charmcine accounts for news and updates. Our email is also changing but messages sent to the old address will still forward. Our Canon FD set has arrived from being rehoused!

S35, Full-frame, Anamorphic, the Sigma FP mirrorless has you covered as both a camera and a director’s viewfinder. Built in presets allow proper framing for Arri, Red, and Sony cameras in spherical, 1.8x and 2x de-squeeze.

As a growing leader in the rental industry, Charmcine has established its place in the DMV market with a constantly expanding inventory, professional in-house service, and dedication to excellence. It is this drive to constantly excel that made Liberty Camera a natural fit to join the Charmcine family and bring with it even greater options for Philadelphia filmmakers. Our hope is that our expanded network of three locations will allow our customers to feel confident that no matter where your travels may take you, there will be friendly service staff local to support you and your shooting needs.

We set up a client with an Arri and Angenieux for a recent project. Absolutely loving this lens in full frame. Fun to balance such a light camera behind a lens that big!

Our Cooke S4’s are back! Almost immediately after their arrival, these got booked on a feature but have just returned home. 8 focal lengths between 14mm and 135mm are available to rent.

Today we got to take a look at the new Angenieux Optimo Primes today thanks to our friend Jean-Marc at Band Pro.

Things are from from back to normal, but boy is it great to see familiar faces here checking out. Even with a mask, beardless Matt Hamm
is throwing us all for a loop.

Another upgrade to our tech room. SDI output from our collimator gives us the ability to shim lenses even more precisely than before. Thanks to our friends at CharmCine for the help sourcing the correct parts.

We are happy to announce the reopening of our doors! With the ample space in each of our 4 checkout bays and new protocols in place, maintaining social distancing and offering contact-free checkouts even on the busiest of days is possible. We will continue to monitor updates from The CDC as well as all of the great information being provided by PERG. We look forward to seeing all of the familiar faces we have missed so much!

Yesterday Tom took part in the AbelCine lens prep workshop. Just one of the things happening during the quarantine to help make us a better facility for our clients when things get back up to speed. Stay safe everyone!

Proud to be hanging up both of these Servant posters. One for the work we’ve done with the show and one for our old employee Ryan who is currently kicking ass with the writers on season 2.

We’ve just got a couple new battery options in from Bebob. The Cube 1200 is a Lithium Ion battery with twice the capacity as a traditional VCLX and comes in around half the weight. And the Micro 45’s are nice little options for focus or director’s handheld monitors.

Just added another 3-channel wireless lens control system to our inventory. Using the same motors as our existing Arri hand units, the Cmotion cPRO system offers camera control of Sony, RED and Arri cameras, interfaces with a Cinetape and has quite a few cool features worth checking out.
