It was an incredible day in the Manayunk-Roxborough community today. Today, the City honored Coach Morris by dedicating his street in his name. Countless lives have been touched by Coach William ‘Speedy’ Morris.

Frank would like to share a few words:

“To my dear friend, my coach, and my role model. You have helped me in my life after my father’s death when I was 13 years old. You continue to help me and inspire me. Thank you will never be enough. I have always looked up to you. From the bottom of my heart, I love you Coach.”

What a day!

A few years back, our workhorse, the oven, broke down. Turns out one hundred year old dough mixers do the same!

It’s been out of commission for a few weeks, exhausting every possibility to repair it. We finally had a new(er) one delivered today. Chrissy and Daneen cried and laughed at the same time. The mixer is more than a piece of equipment, it’s been our lifeline. It has been instrumental in making so many products, which in turn, make our customers happy. You all break bread and enjoy our products, sharing countless memories over our Breads, Pies, & Oreganatas. This piece of equipment has helped keep the shoes on our feet, and we were quite emotional today. Turns out the serial number 12 means it was the 12th machine made. About 100 years ago. Wow!

We would like to extend a special thanks to everyone stuck in traffic on Umbria Street. When the truck tied up the street, not one person honked their horn. Most wished us luck & laughed. We cried. Thank you will never be enough to all of our customers we are blessed to call our friends!

You can now order for the holidays, even though we are short even more help than ever, but somehow, we will make it through, thanks to you. Frank, Kathy, and their children cannot thank you enough for your continued support and love!

This week, our Eagles GAMEDAY Bread is the Cj & Eck’s famous Cajun Chicken Cheese Steak. It’s available starting this Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, while supplies last!

Cj & Eck’s Cajun chicken cheesesteak consist of chicken steak, cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers, and their famous Cajun Mayo, all mixed together and stuffed inside of our dough to make this awesome Specialty Bread. When we had this bread in 2019, it was a sellout, so be sure to get your orders in early!

We also have our Mama Nunziata ‘Take & Bake’ Hand-Pressed 10” Pizzas available, Friday through Halloween. We will have the following:
