Winter continues until March 19th, so there's always the potential for white coatings until then. And, of course, after too.

Delaware Chemical Engine Company No. #1 is saddened to learn of the passing of Past Members of Lopatcong Emergency Squad, John “Chip” McFadden. Chip was an inspirational and knowledgeable individual during his time at Lopatcong Emergency Squad. Chip was also a physical education teacher for the Phillipsburg school district and also taught EMT classes in Warren County for many years. Further in his spare time Chip would referee youth and high school football games. His inspiration and knowledge will certainly be missed. We send our deepest condolences to the McFadden Family.

It's going to snow on Friday! Look for snow to break out early Friday morning, and continue much of the day. Some southern and coastal portions of our area will have milder air that will keep some rain mixing in or limit accumulations, mainly Friday morning, before colder air works in. Friday night through the weekend will turn very brisk and cold in the wake of the storm.

From 9 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, January 13 until 12 a.m. midnight on Sunday, January 14, single lane closures are scheduled on Route 57 between Red School Lane and Strykers Road. Winter is coming. How much, we shall see.

⚠️❄️ A coastal system will bring widespread precipitation to our region. Snow and some mixed precip will occur northwest of I-95. The immediate urban corridor is unlikely to experience anything more than a wet coating of snow. Mainly rain elsewhere. We've begun issuing briefing packages for this event.
