I had the pleasure of seeing Jodi Picoult last night here in Phoenix. What a fun Event! She is so interesting to listen to. I loved hearing about the process of researching for this book and the stories behind it. I learned so much! If you ever get a chance to see her I highly recommend it. She is personable, interesting and very funny. Not to mention this book cover is gorgeous!

I added this to my TBR ages ago after I read The Broken Girls and loved it. I wish I and read it sooner! It was great!

Think Alfred Hitchcock’s Bates Motel along with uninvited guests. It grabs you right away. It was told in alternating time lines and alternate point of views which was brilliant, clever and made for very riveting storytelling. Viv and Carly’s story is extremely creepy and chilling with unexpected twists and turns. It also explored powerful female relationships and bravery.

It’s a book that you stay up late to finish because you can’t wait to find out what happens next.

I loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. Highly recommend this one!

🍁NOVEMBER WRAP-UP🍁 Great month (posting a little late 😉)!! TWO 5🌟 reads this month!
LOVED The Guncle and Code Name Helene! The two books couldn’t be more different but both hooked me and I could put them down!

⭐️The Guncle was a laugh out loud and touching story. Maybe my fav of the year!

⭐️Code Name Helene was a truly amazing WWII story. The research that was done for this novel was extensive and it made for a fascinating story and different from most I have read about the war.

I enjoyed all my other selections this month also!
⭐️Kitchen Confidential: So interesting! Loved his insight into the world of food.
⭐️Columbine: Tough to read even now but so informative
⭐️Baby Teeth: Great thriller!!

⭐️Long Bright River: I enjoyed this novel and recommend it but I felt it needed something more. Classified as a mystery/thriller but I felt it was more a family drama and was hoping for more. But.. it is well written and I recommend.
