We're SO excited about this newest podcast episode! Mesa Education Association President Kelly Berg is an amazing leader and hilarious to boot. MEA is growing rapidly, and as educators, they're taking back the narrative about schools in their district. Listen now and learn more about how they're pulling it off.
"Changing the Narrative" by Learn and Lead As you may have heard, our union is growing, and it's all thanks to the work of our incredible local leaders - like Mesa EA President Kelly Berg. She's the local President in the largest school district in the state, and we brought her on to talk about how she's been engaging in membership blitzes,....
Results of today's blitz in Deer Valley! Deer Valley Education Association needs just ONE (!!) more new member to reach majority status!
From a pro-education advocate in Texas...hits the nail on the head.
AZ is spending $2 billion on tax cuts for the rich. $600 million on vouchers. Why isn't that money going to our public schools?!
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at AEA!
It's good to see leaders in the state legislature making this commitment. Given the state of public school funding in AZ, it's outrageous that cuts were even up for discussion.

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY!
It's the last day to drop off your ballot -- or vote a replacement ballot in person if yours was lost or damaged. Make sure your friends and family know that they need to drop off their ballots by 7 PM TODAY!
Get a list of dropboxes and ballot replacement centers near you at: https://www.azcleanelections.gov/voter-dashboard
Is your ballot still in your car? Does your best friend still have her ballot sitting on her kitchen counter? Did your aunt hold onto her ballot because she likes to vote on Election Day?
It's too late to mail your ballot, but it's not too late to vote! You can drop off your ballot at a dropbox or ballot replacement center. (Ballot replacement centers are also the place to go if your ballot was lost or damaged!)
If you never mailed your ballot, make sure you drop it off -- and please remind your friends and family to do the same!

Still have your ballot? It's too late to mail it back, but it's NOT too late to vote!
Don't put your ballot in the mail -- it won't arrive in time. But you can still drop it off at a dropbox or ballot replacement center. Find one near you: https://www.azcleanelections.gov/voter-dashboard
Today marks the start of Native American Heritage Month. It's a great opportunity to educate ourselves, and our students, on the history of Indigenous Peoples, including Arizona's 22 federally recognized Tribal Nations.

Happy Halloween, everybody! It's a great day to join your union! π π π
Today is the day! Your ballot must be in the mail TODAY to be counted in time. Vote YES on school district bonds and overrides and make sure your voice is heard!
Ballots MUST arrive at the elections office by 7 pm on Tuesday, November 7th. To make sure your ballot arrives on time, you need to put it in the mail today or tomorrow!
(If you've mailed yours already -- is there anyone you need to remind?)
Only three days until Halloween...which means only three days left to mail your ballot! Make sure it gets into the mail ASAP!
We are so proud to share that Arizona added more new members over the last year than any other NEA affiliate in the nation. This is a huge accomplishment, and it's the product of thousands of conversations over the last 12 months with educators across the state -- from classroom teachers and school bus drivers to counselors and custodians.
We're determined to keep fighting for the excellent public schools that our students, our communities and our fellow educators deserve, and we know that building union power is one important step on the way. Congratulations to everyone who played a part in this amazing achievement!
Just four days left to mail your ballot for this year's elections. If you've already mailed yours, share this graphic now and help remind your friends and family to send theirs!
We're so excited to be endorsing Kirsten Engel for Arizona Congressional District 6!
Juan Ciscomani, the incumbent, has been opposing public education since he entered office. Just last month, he voted for a bill that included an 80% cut to Title I funding for schools serving students in poverty. If that bill had become law, it would have resulted in layoffs for 250,000 educators nationwide.
Arizonans deserve to have someone in Congress who will actually fight for us. As a state legislator, Kirsten Engel fought hard to secure additional funding and support for Arizona public school educators and our students, and we know she's ready to take the same fight to Washington, DC!
You have until Tuesday, October 31 (Halloween!) to mail your ballot for this year's elections. Vote YES on school district bonds and overrides and then get your ballot in the mail ASAP!
