Back to ASU for her sophomore year for this beautiful gal!
She wants to go lighter…but we’ve got some previous red color to work through. It’ll be a process, but she’s got patience!
It’s back to school for this teacher on Monday! 👩🏻🏫📚✏️
We did some fresh highlights and covered her grey 😉 This is all her hair, no extensions 😱 It’s so pretty in person 🥰
From a little puffy…to pretty much perfection 🌟
Another day…another bob haircut 😉
My beautiful client wanted her hair off her neck 😜 So I took her length up to her hairline in the back and gave her a little volume in the crown. Freshened up her highlights too. 😍
A little blunt bob perfection inspired by Hailey Bieber (aka Mrs. Bieber) she came with some waves created by sleeping in braids 😉 cut off about 3 inches and took weight out as I styled it, as she has thicker hair than Hailey. Did a partial head of babylights as well.
Just a little snip snip ✂️

Freshened up her babylights (to blend her little bit of gray 😉) added an ashy (6NA) lowlight and neutralized everything 😍
This beauty decided she wants a lower maintenance hair color…but was not ready to go dramatically darker.
So I did a full head of babylights, but I mixed it up a bit by doing a few of the highlights in a foilyage technique and the ones around the hairline to the root. I added 6NA w/15vol ( Color Gels) as a lowlight, but I only brought it mid way down.
The result was a beautifully blended root area and a darker blonde.
We’ll see how this fades and see how much darker she’s ready to go at her next appointment 😌
Happy New Year!
I realize that I haven’t posted too much for December. I am still going to be active on my social media accounts, but I am also going to focus more on my creative space and my home life.
So for 2023 I plan on only posting pics when I have a new hair pic to share.
I’ll still share to my stories, but I don’t need more clients, as I am consistently booked out 3-4 months.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me and I hope you take some chances for the year!
I finished my reading goal and then some!!! 💁♀️📚
At the beginning of the year I set a goal to read more books in 2022, I only read 22 last year. Initially I set my goal at 35, but I kept being WAY ahead of meeting that. So I kept making it higher. So in September I set it to 50 books.
I read 54! I physically READ them! I don’t do audio books because I usually listen to podcasts or music while in my car.
I was able to accomplish this because:
1. I was not on my phone as much.
2. When I went on any vacation I did not go on social media at all. I posted any photos when I got back. So I was able to read more.
3. I bring a book everywhere. If I have downtime at work, I read, if I have to wait anywhere, I read.
4. I read before I go to bed. Thankfully I have a partner that likes to read before going to sleep. We have a tv in our bedroom, but it hasn’t been turned on in ages.
5. I am a pretty fast reader.
I wish I could’ve read even more. But I think this is a pretty high number for someone who works full time at her own business, has a 5 year old kid to help raise and has a house to keep in order. (No housekeeper for us) I try to read books related to whatever month we’re celebrating too. For example, in February I read Black authors or Black stories to celebrate Black History Month. In June I read LGBTQ+ stories for Pride Month, and so on. I think it’s important to read all kinds of books to gain empathy and understanding for all people. It also helps me to be a better conversationalist.
I also thought that I would rather have my kid see me with my nose stuck in a book than on my phone.
I am going to put my reading goal for 2023 at 40 books because I have bigger books that I’d like to read. Please friend me on Goodreads if you’d like to see all the books I’ve read or to check out my TBR list. I’ve got some good selections!

I love this because, I love trees and while I have no problem getting “older” I love the term “growing” too. Celebrate the spirit of living.
