Buck around at The Drummer at the Buck Owens Tribute! Free show featuring some of the best in AZ. Starts at 7pm!

Today is Buck Owens birthday. Buck Owens helped pioneer the Bakersfield sound and had 21 No. 1 hits on the Billboard country charts with his band The Buckaroos.

He lived in Mesa, AZ in his youth, and at 15 had his own local radio show and played several dancehalls in central Arizona. Some nights he would play gigs with another local Phoenix singer, Marty Robbins.

Report to The Dirty Drummer to kick off the day with three amazing AZ bands to celebrate 14 years since the repeal of AZ's Sunday Blue Laws.
