We lightened her roots back to a nice light blonde allowing her sun kissed highlights to look fresh and new.

Had a little fun today putting her hair in a fun little updo so she was pool ready but still looking fresh.

After letting her hair go natural, it was time to step into a little color again. We used a medium brown semi permanent color which allowed her natural grey to come through giving the appearance of fresh highlights, while adding some nice depth all over.

With a few hidden Bobby pins this is a great look to transition from day to night . Fresh color, fresh cut and a fun style . She is ready to go.

Loving this before and after. We took her color to a beautiful soft brown and added some highlights for a bit of dimension. We cut several inches off her back and cleaned up her layers for a fresh new look.

This weekend I took a two day cut and color class to become a certified REZO stylist. REZO is another technique in cutting curly hair, so to all you curly girls I am ready for you. Thank you to and @ cultivatecurls for teaching such a great class.

After touching up her color we decided to blow her naturally curly hair straight. With my new Wet Brushes the end result is amazing. Look at all that fullness.

Thank you beauty by imagination for these fantastic brushes. We always have to flat iron her hair after a bow dry. Not today with a combo of these two brushes it was smooth as silk.

Many of you know I have been selected to be a part of a new program called Brand Champions. I will be receiving new to the market products and trial products ranging from brushes,and combs to styling products.
I am excited to have you all be a part of this experience. I will be using these products on you, and asking for your feedback back.
I received my first box full of a variety of wet brushes, detangling brushes and combs, to styling brushes and cutting combs.
I have been using the same tools for so long because when I find something I really like, I stick with it. As they say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. WELL, I tried several of my new styling brushes over the past couple days. And the feedback I got from my clients was amazing,
One client has wavy, curly hair and we blew her straight and no flat iron was needed, another client has straight hair and she said the brush felt really nice on her scalp.
I will try to remember to post some before and after shots for you all to see moving forward, but for now come see for yourselves.

With the New Year, I have exciting news. I have been accepted into the Brand Ambassador Program for Beauty by Design.
What does this mean? I will tell you.
There are several products within this umbrella. I will be focusing mainly on Ouidad products. I have been a Certified Ouidad Stylist for over 11 years, and I love being associated with this brand.
Being a Ouidad stylist has given me the honor of meeting so many new people and helping them to embrace their natural curls, and in doing such, has allowed them the freedom to express themselves as their authentic selves.
I am very excited to add this title to my resume of over 32 years experience in the industry.
As I have new information on products and how to use them, I will be sharing on my socials, so stay tuned for some exciting updates. You are also welcome to sample them when you come in for your hair services.

With the New Year comes the pressure of making New Years Resolutions. Often times these resolutions fall short,and we are left feeling frustrated with ourselves.
Instead I propose we don’t attach a name to them that may make us feel we fell short if not achieved.
I like to say my goal/ hope To Myself is going to be…..
I believe the coming year will be a year of growth, strength, and encouragement. Let’s look at these three words and see what they represent to us as individuals.
Growth:
The nice thing about this word is that it can mean so many things.
I choose growth to mean enhance.
I am choosing to grow by looking within myself and stepping into situations I may have otherwise shied away from out of fear or insecurities.
Strength:
I am choosing to be stronger and more confident in my decisions. This is not to be misconstrued to mean stubborn, just to mean that when I feel strongly about something I will follow through with being true to myself.
Often times we tend to change our stance on situations we encounter to appease others,instead I would like to bring back the old saying of Let’s agree to disagree, but stay respectful to others and yourself.
I believe just because I am a people pleaser, does not mean I can not be strong in my beliefs.
Encouragement:
I have always enjoyed cheering on the people in my life to reach their goals, or try new things.
Encouragement to me is such a great quality to have. It comes from a place of respect and kindness. I love to be able to be supportive and helpful to the people in my life, whether they are going through something new and exciting, or something difficult and challenging.
To be able to be encouraging, you need to have the ability to combine both growth and strength, so you see we have come full circle.
This is my goal/hope for myself with the New Year upon us.
