Yavapai County Superior Court judge arrested on ‘super extreme DUI’ charge On Sunday, March 19, Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Celé Hancock was arrested by the Prescott Police Department (PPD) on charges believed to be “super extreme” driving under the influence, according to a police report and the court.

(Back story gets a little emotional.)

We are creeping up in the anniversary of my release date from prison after fighting a 127 year case. Thank God we won that small battle. But there’s a much bigger war still raging on.

I was released in Feb 2017, there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not reminded of the whole experience again. Everyday I see someone like walk out of jail I know we’re one person closer to this nightmare ending. But will never forget what it was like inside.

The sad part is I’m frustrated releases are not happening faster while so many still sit behind bars. Or to watch people pray on those trying to get help, just to make them popular or getting likes on social media.

What’s also crazy, is how much has changed from before my case up to now. Inside prison and on the streets.

We fought so hard for our lives and for an industry that we helped anchor and build.. only to sit here today wondering what happened. The division, the lack of support and unity is appalling.

Name an AZ legacy brand on the legal shelves today? (Originally from AZ who’s been doing it since day one?) sad how long you have to think about that one huh? Ya, most are back at square one hoping for a farmers market or an event to go pedal their products at..cause the lane to legal sales are blocked by Corp.

Corp MJ runs this place and is sweeping across the country in record time. We tried to warn, and stop it. Who could? Whether they eventually fail or not isnt the point. The damage is done.

I’m just glad we documented our whole story before our history of cannabis plays out like a horror film. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that “access” has gotten better. And who likes court support anyway, no one enjoys court or prison..but at the end of the day, was this what you voted for and imagined legalization would look like?

Just curious of your thoughts..these are mine.

Honored to have been here since before it was “so cool” lol. Def doesn’t feel as “cool” as it did 30 years ago, teaching people about it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m an empath, that loves helping out..just a tough outcome for such a long journey..never knew I would have to start all over somewhere else again, just to do what we love…helping.

My ask is, let’s not forget what got us all into this fight…it wasn’t money, fame or clout. Helping others is our reason because….
