Well that’s a wrap. Desert West is Officially closed. 10 years of a lot of hard work, dedication, and fun customers. We will see how the next adventure goes

Well after 10 years of working and bringing smiles to customers faces, it’s time to close the doors on Desert West. Unfortunately operating costs for this business owner have become insurmountable.
I have to say thank you to all of you for supporting me and trusting me to repair and improve your rides. Once I find a new place to enjoy I’ll let you know. For now time to pack it up. Thank you everyone, it’s been a true pleasure.

Working on a freight liner with a Cummins diesel yesterday. The exhaust after treatment and DEF system was having an issue. This truck had run 70000 miles without issue, but you can see the Urea build up at the injector in front of the twist mixer. Changed a def tank sensor and cleared the build up. Hopefully it runs another 70k trouble free

Nice Fabtech lift on a 21 Tacoma. Getting set up for SEMA.

Customer states: A/C quit working after another shop did some work on it. I would recommend that he doesn’t ever go back. I’m happy it catch the vehicle on fire!

S &B makes a great filter, but it’s best if you maintain them a little sooner. The prefilter sock will help keep the heavy stuff out of the filter pleats making it easier to clean.

6.0l gas with 2 exhaust manifold bolts broken. Front one came right out after removing the manifold. Second one broke as soon as it was touched. Very back under the firewall. Had to remove the foot well shield and cut down drill bits to get a small 90 def drill in there to drill it out. I won! You could see the extractor through the threads. It’s the little battles that are so satisfying

73 Bronco with a 5.0 cobra motor needed a bit more than manual brakes to stop it. Went to a hydro boost unit and new master. Now it’s much more controllable.
