Rudy’s Willo (Phx) is permanently closed… 😢

When I accepted the position as the manager in 2019, it was a Bishops franchise, and our small team of only four people considered $300 a “good day”. By the time I moved to Seattle in 2023 to focus on Education with Rudy’s, the shop had flourished into a real business with 14 team members, averaging around $60,000 a month. Something I’ll forever be proud of.

Rudy’s Willo was a place where I grew both personally and professionally. It’s where I met some of my closest friends and poured my heart into building something special. Seeing it close due to a variety of factors over the last year and a half, especially corporate greed, is truly heartbreaking.💔

To the staff and clients who have been impacted, I am deeply sorry. Y’all deserved a better outcome, and I hope you find a new salon that feels like home… and thank you for being a part of my journey there. I’m so grateful for you all. 🫶🏻

😎 I am thrilled to finally be able to share a significant milestone in my professional journey! 🌟 After an incredible year as the Head of Education at Rudy's Barbershop, I've accepted the esteemed position of National Education Director at Bishops Cuts/Color. 🌈 This opportunity will allow me to continue fostering growth that I hope will have a ripple effect in the beauty industry.

🌟 My time at Rudy's has been nothing short of amazing—learning, evolving, and creating a meaningful impact. The decision to move on was not easy, but growth requires being uncomfortable… And one thing I’ve learned in this industry is that change is the ONLY constant. Gratitude fills my heart for the memories and relationships I’ve cultivated. That being said, I will be taking a break from working behind the chair until I acclimate to my new role… so, clients I’ll be in touch once I have a location and schedule locked in! 🔏

💼 What makes this transition even more exciting for me is, the new role is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to immerse myself in the unique culture of the 42 Bishops franchise locations. ✈️ The prospect of connecting with diverse teams and contributing to their education programs is both inspiring and energizing!!

I love it when clients show me Anime characters as inspiration for their hair!

Personally, I love it when my clients show me pictures of art or nature or cartoons as inspiration bc then I have more creative freedom. I don’t love it when the client says, I want this exact same thing, when they show me a picture of hair. Why? Bc it’s not realistic!

Your hair most likely won’t do the same things as the models in the pics you like… sure, maybe. But when you show your stylist an inspo pic, just have realistic expectations and allow your artist to have some creative liberties. It’s a lot less stressful for everyone and a lot more FUN for us!
