This July, we held several Take Your Child to Work Day events for our employees and their families. Participants enjoyed in-office safety and sustainability scavenger hunts, product building, and creativity stations. In Phoenix, our teams also donated and stuffed 50+ backpacks with school supplies for a special community service project with The Salvation Army USA.

Last week our Dallas, TX team held a Safety Stand-Down for HITT Contracting Inc. where we provided safety advice to help our client stay safe on the job. Here are three safety tips to help keep your team stay safe all summer long.

1. Hydration starts the day before. Make sure you eat well and drink plenty of water the day before you have to work.
2. Supplement water with 1-2 servings of electrolyte drinks or powder to help retain nutrients/water per day.
3. Pay attention to signs of heat exhaustions and dehydration. Take plenty of breaks, wear sunscreen and protective clothing, and monitor temperatures as you work in hostile climates.

Kaiser Permanente celebrates grand opening of new Lahaina clinic Kaiser Permanente presented its new 5,200-square-foot facility after its original clinic was destroyed in the fires.

We are proud to have partnered with Kaiser Permanente Hawaii on building their new clinic in Lahaina, Maui. Nearly 8 months after the devastating August 2023 wildfires, our local Hawaii team has helped to open the first clinic and the first Elementary School in Lahaina, supporting the community in their ongoing recovery.

Year round our team works to minimize waste and uplift our planet. This , we are recognizing our North Philadelphia Branch for their ongoing waste diversion efforts. As part of a new waste diversion program, they were able to achieve a 75% waste diversion rate in less than a year.

They achieved this accomplishment by participating in a waste characterization study, adding waste segregation signage, distributing educational materials around their branch, and prioritizing recycling of mixed metals, wood, cardboard, tires, and batteries. Last week, the King Kamehameha III Elementary School in Lahaina, Maui, held a blessing and dedication ceremony before opening its new temporary campus, following the devastating August 2023 wildfires.

We are proud to have partnered with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Headquarters to support the community, including 350 displaced students, in constructing the campus that was built with more than 330 of our FLEX modular buildings. This new campus marks one step forward in rebuilding the Lahaina community.

Before it was Phoenix, AZ, it was Baltimore, MD that we called home. As a company that still has strong presence in, serves and supports Charm City, we stand with Baltimore during this difficult time. ❤️
