The AZ529 Future Career Art Contest just wrapped up and we were excited to support our client Arizona's Education Savings Plan - AZ 529, Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee, and the amazing young artists at the awards ceremony at the Capitol. Entries came in from across the state and winners were selected from district, private, charter, tribal, and homeschools. Every winner received $529 toward an AZ529 Savings Account to put toward their future educational goals. Amazing work, all around!

Recent updates to the AZ529 plan make the program even more flexible. Effective January 1, 2024, qualified “leftover” AZ529 account funds may be transferred to a Roth IRA free of any tax, penalty, or applicable income limits. So, your tax-free 529 withdrawals of funds invested can begin as early as kindergarten for the designated beneficiary and can continue even beyond graduate school to their Roth IRA in retirement! April is National Volunteer Month! For everyone out there giving your time, effort, donations, heart, and sweat … THANK YOU! So many incredible organizations rely on volunteers and it's such a selfless (and rewarding!) thing to do.

This month is also National Child Abuse Prevention Month so we want to highlight one client that is close to our hearts, CASA of Arizona. School's almost out for kids across Arizona and we've been working with Scottsdale Unified School District all year to spread the word about the district's incredible programs for toddlers through high schoolers and the amazing benefits that come from working for SUSD.

Campaigns for Kindergarten Roundups, Early Learning, College and Career Fairs, Open Enrollment, and SUSD careers have included digital and social media ads and eBlasts. With March Madness around the corner (and in Arizona this year!), our client Arizona Department of Gaming, Division of Problem Gambling launched a sports wagering campaign shining the spotlight on the importance of responsible gambling. The campaign includes digital ads, video, social media, and a landing page with tips on how to bet safely and responsibly and where to get help if you or someone you know needs it.

Saturday, March 2 is the 21st Annual HERO Awards, presented by Lulu's Fund and benefiting The Arizona Pet Project.

This event is close to our hearts because it champions the bond between vulnerable individuals and their cherished pets by keeping them together when they need each other most. The program provides basic care for veterans, the elderly, domestic violence victims, homeless people, and their pets, helping to keep them out of shelters.

Today kicks off the 2024 AZ529 Future Career Art Contest, sponsored by our client Arizona's Education Savings Plan - AZ 529! This is the third annual art contest and entries have grown exponentially each year!

We had some teddy bears and polar bears at the plunge this weekend! It was a little on the chilly side but worth every goosebump!

Team Asa is a nonprofit that supports Tempe’s adaptive recreation programs, providing recreational and social opportunities for Arizona’s special needs community. This is the organization’s 12th annual polar plunge! We’re so happy to have been a part of it from the beginning and so happy for Team Asa’s continued success and growth.

Human trafficking continues to be a problem across the country and right in our own backyard. As a major transportation hub and home to countless sporting events, conventions, and tradeshows every year, Arizona is among the top locations for s*x trafficking and recruiting, ranking 14th in the country for reports made to the s*x trafficking hotline.

Trafficking often occurs in plain sight, at schools, parks, malls, hotels, truck stops, and bus stops, but an estimated 76% of s*x trafficking cases involving underage girls start on the internet. And while anyone of any age, ethnicity, gender, or socioeconomic status can become a victim, traffickers primarily prey on the vulnerable.

January 11th is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day and we're proud of our client, the Arizona Attorney General's Office, for their commitment to raising awareness about this ongoing threat to our communities.
