The summer months are the perfect time for some home maintenance, but be aware of scammers posing as contractors.

A scammer offering household services may try to ask for deposits and payments via ZelleĀ®. Once paid, they wonā€™t show and will disappear.

Help protect yourself with these tips:

šŸ”’ Only hire licensed contractors and make sure contracts include a valid company address and phone number.

šŸ”’ Only use ZelleĀ® to send money to recipients you know and trust.

šŸ”’ Be cautious sending deposits through digital payments like ZelleĀ® since thatā€™s like sending cash. Once you send it, you may not be able to get it back.

Eyeing that perfect vacation rental for your next group trip? Watch out for fake listings, even on major vacation rental sites.

Scammers create fake rental sites and make up listings for rentals that donā€™t exist. They may try to contact you outside of the rental site and ask you to pay them directly through a digital payment, wire transfer, or gift card. When the scammer disappears, you have no place to move into and youā€™re out of money.

Help protect yourself with these tips:

šŸ”’Most major vacation rental sites offer purchase protections, but only if you pay and communicate with the owners through the site.

šŸ”’ Avoid paying for application fees, deposits, first monthā€™s rent or vacation charges through digital payments like ZelleĀ® or wire transfers since thatā€™s like sending cash. Once you send it, you may not be able to get your money back.

šŸ”’ Donā€™t send payments for properties you havenā€™t seen, or to a person youā€™ve never met. Only use ZelleĀ® to send money to recipients you know and trust.

We all love a great deal, but think twice before buying discounted items through online ads.

If a discount seems too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers will often use ads to lure you in with deep discounts. They may even say they need a deposit to secure the item and ask for a digital payment like ZelleĀ®.

If you are purchasing goods, consider using a payment option that offers purchase protection.

šŸ”’Neither ZelleĀ® nor Chase provides purchase protection if you use ZelleĀ® to buy something and then the item does not arrive, appears damaged, or itā€™s not as described.

šŸ”’ Only use ZelleĀ® to send money to recipients you know and trust.

šŸ”’ ZelleĀ® is not intended for purchase of goods from retailers, online marketplaces or through social media posts.

If youā€™re searching for a new place to rent, make sure youā€™re aware of the latest scams. Here are 3 red flags to watch for:

āš ļø Youā€™re being told that you need to send a deposit right away, usually through a wire transfer.

āš ļø You canā€™t see the property or meet the landlord before sending money.

āš ļø The landlord isnā€™t concerned about having the completed application or doing a credit check prior to receiving the deposit.

To help protect yourself, try to see properties in person and be cautious when sending money through wire transfers. Once you send it, you probably canā€™t get it back.

ā€œBeing neurodivergent is an incredible thing that we on the spectrum should celebrate, and that everyone should look to include, accept and empower.ā€

Andy Willmore, a Controls Analyst at JPMorgan Chase, was diagnosed as autistic when he was 10 years old.

At first, Andy had struggled to understand and accept his condition, but as he grew up, he learned to lean into it ā€” thriving in music composition, computer programming and public speaking.

ā€œWhile being autistic can have its challenges, it doesnā€™t determine what I can and cannot do.ā€ Andy empowers others on the spectrum to feel the same and embrace their neurodiversity.

At work, Andy shares his experiences of living as autistic and actively supports his colleagues who are on the spectrum.

ā€œWe are all human and it is our responsibility to learn and embrace the ā€˜divergent.ā€™ The unique differences are what makes us who we are.ā€

Spring cleaning may be a great time to sell unwanted items, but if youā€™re selling online, scammers may try to trick you into paying fees to ā€œupgradeā€ or ā€œincrease your accountā€™s limit.ā€

Theyā€™ll often use screenshots that look like itā€™s from ZelleĀ®, claiming youā€™ll only receive payment if you send money to make these changes to your account.

Help keep your money safe with these tips:

šŸ”’ Donā€™t believe anyone who claims you need to ā€upgradeā€ or ā€œverifyā€ your ZelleĀ® accountā€”itā€™s a scam!

šŸ”’ ZelleĀ® is not intended for purchase of goods from retailers, online marketplaces or through social media posts

šŸ”’ If you are the seller, let buyers know you wonā€™t accept ZelleĀ® as payment for goods

šŸ”’ Neither ZelleĀ® nor Chase provides protection if you make a purchase of goods using ZelleĀ® and then the item does not arrive, appears damaged, or itā€™s not as described
