As you may know, our brewery location used to house Superior Beverage Company that bottled and distributed many beverages, including Orange Crush... We channeled that energy into our newest FIZZY TWISTER flavor HARD ORANGE SODA. Stop in today to crush one of these from our refreshing draft lineup of gluten-free Hard Seltzers (we currently have Fizzy Binger Mixed Berry, Fizzy Binger Raspberry Lemon Ice, Fizzy Twister Very Berry & Fizzy Twister Hard Orange Soda)

🦉BAD OMEN🦉

New on draft is Bad Omen, our Barleywine that has been two years in the making. Our first attempt at this special brew was thwarted when disaster struck equipment crucial to fermentation on day two of the process. Sadly, we had no choice but to dump the entire batch...sending our hard work swirling down the drain, haunted by the thought of what could have been.

Fast forward to when we decided to create this monster again this year...strange things were a brew and we began experiencing equipment issues eerily similar to before in both the brewhouse and kitchen equipment... We began to think this brew was a Bad Omen (hence the name) and perhaps the ghosts of the previously ruined barleywine were back to haunt us.

Nonetheless, this treat of a Barleywine prevailed in a thrilling fashion and is here in time to warm your spirits for spooky season! So come down to the brewery and get possessed with its glory that is 10.4% ABV.

$5 Philly Phest continues tonight for game 4... Phest drafts are $5 ALL NIGHT! Because win or lose, you're gonna need a beer!

Scienceontap Phoenixville returns to Root Down at 630pm (yes, back to the original start time!) for a discussion about the microscopic life of Pennsylvania waters featuring John Lisowski as he leads his second SOT conversation featuring a bunch of videos and photos of interesting microscopic aquatic creatures!

Title: More than Meets the Eye: The Microscopic Life of Pennsylvania Waters

Blurb: The lakes, ponds and streams of Pennsylvania are alive with creatures too small to be seen by the naked eye. The presentation "More Than Meets the Eye: The Microscopic Life of Pennsylvania Waters" provides a brief introduction to light microscopy and highlights, by videos taken through the microscope, many examples of the fascinating microscopic creatures found in our local waterways! It also includes insights into why these tiny organisms are important to us and how you can begin your own exploration of the microscopic world. Join us for a look at life through the microscope!

Bio: John has a BA in Biology and an MS in Dynamics of Organization, both from the University of Pennsylvania, and biological research experience. He retired after a 37 year career in Healthcare Information Systems and IT Service Management with Shared Medical Systems and Siemens, and then rekindled his interest in biology, microscopy and natural history. He completed the Pennsylvania Master Naturalist (PMN) program in 2019 and is currently co-leader of the Chester County PMN Chapter and head of the PMN iNaturalist Team. He recently joined the Board of the Green Valleys Watershed Association and he shares his interest in natural history and microscopy through various volunteer initiatives.
