Paige Derouen named Interim CEO at Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi

With the departure of Tripp Harrison, who accepted the position of CEO at Goodwill of Northern New England, Goodwill of South Mississippi has named vice president Paige Derouen interim CEO.

Harrison has been a driving force behind the success and growth of Goodwill of South Mississippi over the past two-and-a-half years, playing a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission to empower individuals with employment barriers to embark on sustainable career paths.

[Biloxi, MS] – Goodwill of South Mississippi announces that President/CEO Tripp Harrison has accepted the position of CEO at Goodwill of Northern New England.

"It has been an incredible privilege to lead this remarkable team,” said Harrison, whose last day was Nov. 30. “I have seen the impact of our work on individuals and families, and it fills me with immense gratitude to have been a part of this organization. The hardworking team at Goodwill of South Mississippi is the real force behind our success, and I thank them all for their unwavering dedication."

Harrison was a transformative leader during his tenure at Goodwill of South Mississippi. Under his guidance, the organization became financially stable and made significant strides in providing job skills training, employment, and supportive services for individuals facing barriers to a sustainable career. Earlier this year, Goodwill of South Mississippi was named one of Mississippi's top non-profits, and partnered with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College to open a Career Connections Center on the Jackson County MGCCC campus.

"Tripp has left our organization better than he found it, with several innovative changes underway," said Interim CEO Paige Derouen. "We are excited about the future, and look forward to implementing our new strategic plan. Our mission, vision, and values will carry us into 2024 and beyond with a people-first culture."
