We scrub our pots with the green Scotch fried pan, yellow sponge and also use a scrub brush for the corners and the welds. We use blue Dawn dish soap only. Do not use any acids on the aluminum. Scrub it until all film and sediment is off the entire pot inside and out. If you can rinse it and clean it with hot water is best or put water in the pot. Light it for a couple of minutes and you have instant hot water to clean your pot. Rinse the pot thoroughly and after you rinse it, rinse it again but this is a quick and easy way to rinse it.
