Pianist Kevin Lovejoy welcomes drummer/vocalist Tony Jefferson and bassist Cameron Brown on July 16th from 6:30-9:30.

Tony Jefferson, a New York native, attended the Berklee College of Music on scholarship in 1984. In 1992, he placed third in the Thelonious Monk International Drum Competition, and has since gone on to perform and record with an impressive roster of jazz artists including Eddie Harris, Kenny Drew Jr., Lonnie Smith, Eddie Henderson, Lou Donaldson, Frank Wess, Benny Golson, Hank Jones, Cedar Walton, and Annie Ross.

Active in the New York jazz scene and the international festival circuit, Tony has been a guest clinician at various high schools and colleges, and has taught master classes both nationally and abroad.

Pianist Kevin Lovejoy welcomes trumpeter Duane Eubanks on July 9th from 6:30-9:30PM

Duane Eubanks studied jazz in master classes at Temple University with the legendary Dr. Billy Taylor, and after arriving in New York, he was tapped by the great pianist Mulgrew Miller to join his ensemble, Wingspan. Acclaimed double-bassist and bandleader Dave Holland invited Duane to play with his big band on a pair of Grammy Award-winning albums, and Eubanks has also recorded and played with Elvin Jones, John Hicks, Curtis Fuller, Louis Hayes, Randy Brecker, Avery Sharpe, and Nicholas Payton.

Hailing from an amazingly musical family, his mother, pianist Vera Eubanks, was the illustrious Kenny Barron’s first piano teacher. Guitarist Kevin Eubanks, the longtime bandleader on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, and celebrated trombonist Robin Eubanks are his brothers. Legendary pianist Ray Bryant is his uncle.
