From Dr. Schamroth:
With case list collection now behind you, I want to suggest 2 things to consider: 1) Do your utmost to finish in time to submit for the first deadline. This way, you avoid paying the extra late fee. 2) You also want to get your case list submission behind you asap, so you can move forward in a timely fashion (and not delay by a further 2 weeks) to the next phase of oral exam prep, which is oral exam practice.
Finally, remember your case list represents 50% of your exam. Make sure it is written and constructed in such a way as to generate the kind of questions you want to face in the exam (and minimize the chances of getting questions you would rather not have!)
As always good luck in your exam.

The Last Laugh
On the way back from a Cub Scout meeting, a son innocently asked his father, “Dad, I know babies come from mommies' tummies, but how do they get there in the first place?”
After the father hemmed and hawed awhile, the son finally spoke up in disgust, “You don't have to make up something, Dad. It's okay if you don't know the answer.”

A review of your case list can be started anytime. Many candidates find that turning in their partial case list early to start the review process is very helpful and prevents them from having to make all the corrections and changes at the last minute. You can then send the additional cases for review in July and will receive an additional review.
Don't forget to contact us at 410-580-2970 or [email protected] or online at https://www.exampro.com/Products/oral-boards/CASE-LIST to sign up for your Case List Review.
MFM CASE LIST REVIEW|CASE LIST REVIEW Having your case list reviewed provides the single biggest opportunity to dramatically change the outcome of your exam.
What should you be doing in March to prepare for the oral board exam? The key aspect of board prep at this time is to put as much time and energy into your case list as you can. Your list comprises 50% of your exam and you have a tremendous amount of impact on its final appearance.
In my 25 years of experience in board prep, I have seen case lists that have all but failed the candidate before they even walk into the exam room. Don’t make this mistake, Put as much energy as you can into your case lists’ construction; we strongly encourage you to attend our case list construction course, and then as an optional extra, consider having your case list professionally reviewed for ‘landmines’, problem areas, ‘red flags’ etc.
We will talk more about that later in the year, but at this time, you should seriously consider attending our case list construction course. Call our office at 410 580-2970 if you have further questions in this regard.
Also available are our 2023 recordings of teleseminars which are addressing CLC topics currently. Click here to view pre-recorded seminars:

ExamPro held it's Case List Construction course for 2023 on Sunday March 19. Keep in mind 50% of your exam is based on your case list. This 1 day course will show you how to create a case list that prompts the examiner to ask the questions of your choosing! It is our opinion that this is the single most important action you can take that will have the greatest positive impact on your exam. You can purchase the course pre-recorded here:

You are currently (or hopefully shortly will be) collecting cases and constructing your case list.
The case list represents 50% of your exam. A poorly constructed case list can set you up for disaster before you even enter the exam room. Don’t let this happen to you!
Find out more about, and consider attending our Case List Construction course. It will show you how to write up your list in such a way as to generate the question that you want to have in the exam.
It’s actually quite easy!
To all ExamPro candidates,
Today ABOG announced that the 2022 Certifying exam will be conducted remotely (presumably via zoom or some equivalent platform), similar to what was done last year.
We want to share with you that while we feel the in-person exam option in Dallas would have been slightly preferable, this new announcement should not make any difference to your preparation for your upcoming exam.
I will address this matter further at our next teleseminar on 7/24. Keep in mind, we now have last year's experience of this exam format, so we are all better off this year than candidates were last year.
Again, I wish to emphasize that your board prep should continue exactly as you had previously planned.
As always, I want to wish you all the best of luck in the exam.
Alvin Schamroth,
FACOG
CEO ExamPro
Be on the lookout! We anticipate ABOG will notify candidates today as to which month they will have their exam. The first set of exams will be in October, only 15 weeks from now. Let ExamPro lower your stress level with our proven high yield review materials and products!!
