I specialize in giving tired, old, and outdated furniture a second chance at life.
What a difference a little paint makes!!
Working on a chest of drawers with some raised stenciling. Watch out for this chest for sale in a week or so, it’s definitely a throwback to almost exactly a year ago.
I finished this decorative bench up this weekend. It’s a crib to bench conversion and I love the way it turned out.
Painted in Dixie Belle’s Caviar on the body of the bench, with the flower in too many colors to list. It’s all sealed in water resistant Gator Hide.
It was difficult getting photos lol, I ran it outside for a few minutes this afternoon and it started sleeting right after I took these photos!!! Good grief! 🤦♀️🤣🤣😳
I’ll be listing this for sale on Marketplace, let me know if you’re interested.
This is what I’ve been up to lately! My FAVORITE sister in law Joyce Reed 🤣, gave us this old chest she wasn’t using anymore, so I used it as a chance to experiment with some texture and layering techniques. I also added some raised stenciling for fun, you know, just because… why not 🤷🏼♀️?! I wanted I really grungy and textured finish and I think I achieved what I was aiming for, so I’m happy with it.
I used all sorts of Dixie Belle colors but mainly Sawmill Gravy, French Linen, and Coffee Bean. The top is stained in NPGS Espresso and sealed with Gator Hide.
Let me know what y’all think?
I just wanted to share this sweet little hutch top that I gave a new life to that I just finished up. When it came home with me it didn’t have any legs, so I built a new base and attached some legs that I have had laying around for quite awhile. Sanded and stained them to match the newly built shelf inside as well.
The hutch top itself is painted in Dixie Belle’s Fluff and sealed in satin topcoat. New hardware to finish it off.
I’m really happy with how it turned out and as always it was a learning experience lol!! I’m definitely putting some use to my Kreg jig!! Love that thing so much!
Let me know what y’all think!?!
This chest took me way longer than I thought it would!! It probably didn’t help that our family got took out with Covid for a week or so at the end of last month, so that definitely put the breaks on any work I was doing for awhile 😢! But I finished this beauty up and I’m happy with the results.
Painted in Dixie Belle’s darkest navy blue color called “In the Navy”, she’s finished with a gorgeous transfer and pretty new modern gold legs for a fresh new look! I also re-lined the inside drawer with a coordinating green fabric, replacing the old worn out felt that was existing. This Lane cedar chest is ready to go to it’s new home.
I’ll be sharing the listing just as soon as I get it listed.
Let me know what y’all think of it if you’ve got a moment with a like or a comment. Thanks!!! 💕💕
I need help!!!
I’m working on my next project, a Lane cedar chest and I can’t decide what transfer I should use on this piece. It’s getting those gold legs that are pictured in the collage as well as some other updates. But I can’t even decide on a color until I pick the transfer🤦♀️🤦♀️😳!
Let me know what y’all think?
How about a #1 for the floral transfer and a #2 for the Bible verse transfer.
They’re both beautiful in their own ways but I’m paralyzed with indecision right now 🤪!
Just a old vintage saw I painted on the in between time of big projects. I needed a bit of breather after finishing up the secretary and this hit the spot.
What do y’all think? Let me know with a comment or a like. 💕
Well she’s all dressed up in her pretty black dress and ready to go out into the world…
Painted in Dixie Belle’s Caviar and Buttercream and accented with gold gilding wax, this secretary turned out better than I had hoped for. 💕
This piece was a collaboration with Rob over at Antiques By The Creek and she’s already been sold but I couldn’t help but share her beauty with y’all.
Maybe you have an old secretary or something similar you’d like to see redone and brought back to life like this one was? Contact me for more info if you’d like to talk about having a piece painted or stained, I’m always happy to help.
But my pretty little secretary is going home to a new family soon and she’ll be loved for many more years to come! 😍☺️💕
👀👀👀…..
Last sneak peek, it’s almost done!! 😍🤩🎉
🫣
Here’s a sneak peek of a secretary I’ve been working on for what feels like forever!!! But in my defense I took a break in the middle to refinish that dining room table. But I’m back at it and cruising right on to the finish line. Painted in Dixie Belle’s Buttercream and Caviar I’m loving how it’s coming together and can’t wait to share the final results!!! 💕
Stay tuned… 👀
Finished up this custom staining job for a new customer last week. I’m in love with how it turned out and so is she! Matching the table top without touching the legs was a bit of a challenge, but in the end it turned out great. 💕😍
Reach out and send me a message or comment on a post if you need any custom painting or staining done. I’d be happy to work with you.
Still Available if anyone is interested at a reduced price, I need room to work and install new flooring in my painting room!!

Next on deck is this lovely 2 over 2 dresser with mirror. Now I know I don’t have the best photo of it right now but I’ve got it tucked away while I’m working on other projects.
I’m trying to decide on a color scheme to go with the floral transfer I ordered that’s shown in the second photo. It’s just such a beautiful old dresser that it would be accentuated with those gorgeous flowers! 😍😍
Also wanted to mention I have another “Trust in the Lord” transfer in stock but I’m on the hunt for a chest or a suitable piece of furniture to use it on. Maybe you have one you’d like to have customized?
I just wanted to say hello to all of the new people who have recently started following!! This is a picture of the piece that I’ve started working on most recently. I’m in the process of making repairs and I sure can’t wait to get started on painting. It’s going to be gorgeous if it turns out anything like I’m imagining 🤪😍😍!!
I also wanted to mention I don’t just do work on pieces that I’ve sourced myself. If you need custom paint work done on a piece of furniture you own or are buying feel free to message me and we can talk!!
I finished up this hutch last night and listed it today. I’m happy with how it turned out. It’s not quite my typical style but it’s really cute none the less. I adore the transfer on the glass!!
Let me know what y’all think of it!
Finishing up a hutch here in the next couple days. I really love the transfer I chose for the glass door! It just adds that something extra that this otherwise pretty plain piece of furniture needed.
Keep in eye out for a new listing coming really soon!!
Spent a nice day yesterday up at Antiques by the Creek painting a mural on the side of the barn/out building for the kids to take pictures with. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I used plenty of Dixie Belle paint that I got from Rob Elkins!!
Now if any of y’all have kids or grandkids and want to have a good time next Saturday, come see my mural at his farm and attend the Easter Egg Hunt from 12-6 on April 16th!! I’ll make sure to share a link to the event in another post! I promise it’ll be a blast with tons of fun stuff for the kids to do outside of the egg hunt.
Finished up the chest of drawers I’ve been working on and it turned out better than I had hoped. There were a couple firsts with this piece. My first time doing a raised stencil and my first time using a large transfer like this, and I couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out and can’t wait to share it with you!! 🥰
Please let me know what y’all think about how it turned out?
This piece will be for sale.
I used several different products to achieve this look.
Redesign by Prima Victorian Tiles 6”x9” stencil
“Trust In The Lord” transfer by Redesign by Prima
2 coats of BOSS in grey by Dixie Belle
Sawmill Gravy by Dixie Belle for the body of the piece
Amber gemstone mousse for the stencils on the drawer sides
No Pain Gel Stain in Espresso for the front legs and the top over one coat of Pine Cone by Dixie Belle
Sealed in several coats of Dixie Belle’s satin top coat
New hardware from D. Lawless Hardware was icing on the cake.
Tried my hand at raised stencils on the sides of the chest of drawers I’m working on and I LOVE it!!! 😍
This is the first time I’ve ever done it so be kind, but what do y’all think? It’s got a ways to go before it’s done but I just had to share a peak because I’m in love!
Next project in the works and boy oh boy am I excited about this one!! I’m using my first big transfer on this vintage chest of drawers I picked up. I spent all day Saturday stripping every bit of the old paint off of it and now I’ve got a blank canvas to work with.
It’s going to be beautiful!! 😍
Well this is what I’ve been up to for the last month! This 6ft antique crosscut saw came to me rusted and dirty and left painted and pretty!! Finished in more colors of Dixie Belle paint than I can remember, it sure was a doozy! Let me know what you think!
Check out this sweet little table I just finished up! I love the feel it gives me with the blues all blending together. And those sweet little starfish pulls?Anyone else need a beach vacation?? ☀️🏝🌊🐚

She’s available for sale! Send me a message if interested.
I’m pretty proud of this one, that old purple/red stain gave me a run for my money on the drawer fronts!! But in the end I prevailed and achieved the look I was hoping for. I hope y’all love it as much as I do. Simple in walnut, black and gold; this dresser feels timeless to me. It’s ready to live another life in someone else’s home now. I’m posting the before and after in a separate post here in a minute!! Let me know what you think!!
Sneak peek….
I’ve got a mid century dresser that’s just about finished coming up for sale. Black and Gold for the New Year maybe?!?
Let me know what you think with a like!
Shew I’ve had a time with the stain on these dresser drawers!! They sure gave me a run for my money. This old stain was purple I tell ya! 😈🤦♀️I believe I’ve got them licked though!! Stained in Walnut NO Pain Gel Stain by Dixie Belle Paint Company I think I’m loving the way they’re looking 😍. The new legs came in today as well! This mcm dresser I’m working on is coming along nicely!! Paint tomorrow!!
Stay tuned…
Finished this corner hutch up last night and got it staged and photographed today. I think she’s pretty 😍 😍!! I just love the vintage duck egg blue on the inside! I’m not a huge fan of painting in white, but I know that other people love it, so I had a little fun with the blue on the inside.
What do y’all think? Leave me a heart if you like it!!
Sneak peek of what I’ve been working on the last week or so. With Thanksgiving going on, it was hard to fit in time to paint but I’ve just about got it finished up. Stay tuned…
Well that was fast 😳🤩🥰!!
