This year's KYCO class has 6 students from UPIKE's Optometry Scholars Program (OSP).
OSP is a cooperative eight-year program (4+4) leading to a bachelor’s degree and an O.D. degree. After completing their bachelor’s degree at UPIKE, scholars are automatically admitted to KYCO if they have completed specific requirements.

Hubert Keen ’67 and his wife Sally ’69 are a pair of lifelong educators whose passion for giving back is creating opportunities for students at the University of Pikeville.
The Keens' most notable contribution to UPIKE is the establishment of the W. Hubert and Sally Keen Fellowship in the Sciences. Now entering its third year, this fellowship is awarded to undergraduate students with a passion for research.
