Open 10-6 today! Stocking the classics and history a bit since they’ve looked pretty barren. But in the meantime we have a fully stocked fiction section!

The news of today is that we are open 11-6, and I made a clock so that now, you can see what time it is 🥰

(I am not remotely handy so me making a clock is absolutely a highlight and worth its own post but we won’t talk about how long it took me to fit the battery in it. I was very sure it must have been defective until I realized it was backwards)

Books books books. Open 11-6 📚 Rainy day but we’ll make it a good one… and what better way than to find a new read?

These are the books we still have in stock from past (and present) book club meetings! Picking books for these is one of my favorite things - a lot of pressure when announcing and seeing what everyone thought about it, but fun nonetheless 😬

Story time is quickly approaching and we just want to remind you of the days for April! 😍 Each Saturday 11-12ish we’ll be hosting story time hour for the kiddos. Any age welcome.

📚 Please share so we can get a good turnout and continue with further dates!

If you’re looking for something to do on Saturday mornings, stop by with your child(ren) at 11 beginning on April 6th for story time!

We have calendars available at the counter if you need one 💐

While we aren’t even close to being done rearranging the front (we are on our way to creating a nice seating area, but it’s been a busy busy season of life so it’s slow-going), there is progress being made!

For now the comics and graphic novels have been moved around a bit, still up in the front, and the free book nook is nooking. We’ll see if we can’t accomplish most things this weekend to be ready for next week!

Also working on making the childrens section cleaned up a bit for storytime, which starts in just a couple of weeks! Oh, and Aprils Book Club book is restocked. We meet on the 18th!

PS: If you read this far, it’s Alex’s birthday today, leave a 🎉 emoji so I can send him birthday wishes from you! He has been an integral part of setting up shop, keeping it going when baby bookseller was born, and when I decide I’m grumpy and don’t want to work he happily steps in even though he works a full time job with insane hours. Plus he’s a pretty rad guy and reads the books I don’t read so overall we’re a pretty good team!

Um… Book club last night!! 👏 You guys really showed up and we ran out of chairs 🤣 And we also almost ran out of copies of APRILS PICK… Maame by Jessica George!

Join us at 6 pm on Thursday, April 18th to discuss. We only have two copies (edit: one) left at this moment (will be restocking next week) so if you want the earliest start come grab your copy sooner than later!

Glad our newly designed (and not finished) free book book is going so well! We are always full of free books whether they were left outside and damaged, or just simply weren’t moving off the shelf. It’s constantly being restocked so be sure to take a look when you walk in! 📚

I’m not quite sure why I started this very large project when I’m here with baby bookseller, but no time like the present! 😬 Can’t wait to share what it will become! Excuse the mess.

It’s rainy, yes, but it’s not snow ❄️ and it’s warm! Perfect day to start Marchs Book Club pick, The Last of the Moon Girls. Two weeks left until we meet! Just restocked but won’t be restocking once these are gone, open 11-6 today 📕

It’s coming! We are hoping to begin childrens storytime hour come April. But first… we need YOU!

If you love children and would be willing to volunteer an hour of your time on Saturdays, we’d LOVE to talk to you about coming in to do storytime in our shop!

📚 Details:
- Volunteer (no pay), but please help yourself to books!
- 11-12 pm on Saturdays. Willing to work with you on which Saturdays you can commit to. Minimum 2 per month
- Love young children and/or have experience with them! (parents will be present)

Yes, it is cold TODAY… but it’s about to be warm… which means it’s the PERFECT time to get started thinking about gardening if you haven’t already! Open 10-6 🌱

We are open! Our refrigerator delivery at home got rescheduled at the end of the delivery window, so that was helpful… 😬 But we are open 12-6 now so that’s not too bad! Come stop by while the kids are out of school and the weather isn’t too bad!

Hello! We will be opening late tomorrow, time TBD… Such is the problem with home appliance delivery! Hopefully I’ll make it in by 2 at the latest.

As always, we’ll update you as soon as we get there! Hate all these funky hours we’ve had this month but, life happens 🙃
