Thank you everyone for the Birthday love! All the cards, calls, texts, and messages made my day. 💖🥰
Just a little Tommy spam from Summer Fun! He’s turning into such a nice horse for owner Jenny Ninios! ❤️
Home from a great Summer Fun horse show. So proud of my peeps and their wins! Ribbon photo was before this morning’s Championships. Thank you Pam Roush, Mary Jo Schmidt, Rosey Moreno-Jones and it was especially fun with Amanda Ward judging. So many memories growing up together ❤️.
Bridle Creek has wrapped up Citrus Cup 2024! Horses and people all home safe and sound. This is where it gets sappy 😂. I have never felt more humbled and blessed. Having broken my wrist and had surgery, I knew that the show so soon would be a bit of a struggle. But the outpouring of offerings to help and support was overwhelming. Tom Johnson, Tricia Waclena, Hanna Pokorny, Mikayla Laughlin, you were there for every step of every horse and there are no words to describe my appreciation and love for each of you! Bekah Simmons you did a great job taking care of our horses and me! Audrey Aamodt, Sophie Bel, Kendall Handorf, I don’t even know what to say. So proud of all of you! 💖. Kendall and Sophie, you got better showing new horses for the first time every ride! Audrey, you’re always a star!🥰. Kristi Buehrle Cole thank you for caring for the horses at home. Abby loves that you come. 💖And Scott Henderson, you are my rock! I don’t know how you made it through the last couple weeks between your regular work, taking care of the farm, and having to take care of me. I love you. Except for the part where you told me I was 4 for eating chicken and stars 😂. Finally, Alicia Davis thank you and the entire Citrus Cup Regional Horse Show crew for a great show in its new home at WEC.
Next stop Citrus Cup!
We’re having an authentic Mexican Fiesta! Celebrating Abby and Emi’s Birthdays. I love my peeps! 😁
A horse trainer’s Christmas…I know I’m not alone here.
I told my help that I wanted them to take the whole day off. They deserve it and they have a little boy who has been telling me all about Santa Claus since Thanksgiving. 😂. Soooo
Up at 6:00 and it’s raining, looks like it’s been raining for awhile and didn’t stop till noon.
Horses fed, barn/stalls clean, Scott cleaned up his tool rooms (yes I said rooms 🙄) since he finished his latest project of building the first of two pretty incredible tack rooms. Fed lunch a few minutes early and headed home. Then I spent 3 1/2 hours cleaning house cuz well, when else am I gonna do it!? Got dinner started and it was time to head back to barn to feed. We got a lot of rain a little over a week ago and I was thrilled that my arena drainage system did exactly what it’s suppose to do and I was able to work horses that Monday. I went out and walked it this afternoon and lo and behold we will be working horses tomorrow! 😁 ( could have today). Anyway, back home dinner done and kitchen cleaned…again. Then I proceeded to color my hair cuz again, when else am I gonna do it?! 🤦🏻♀️. Nice hot shower and now hanging on the couch with the puppies.
I wouldn’t have it any other way…and neither would you. 😊.
Girl gang Christmas fun day number one! Missing a member but we’ll have her for Christmas fun day number two! Thank you Billi Jo for welcoming us into your beautiful home!!
These are the fun little trips! It’s a beautiful day to go the the shipper’s layover barn to get the first new show horse! Thank you Jeff Lukens for your outstanding service and care as well Lorraine Horse Transport for allowing us to pick up at your facility. Ellen Atkinson…there are no words. Thank you for entrusting us with your special boy, we will treat him like gold and make you proud of your breeding program as well as your great start in his training and showing career.
Sometimes packages just show up at the house. Scott sees a funny shirt with something on it that fits me, and it shows up. Today he out did himself. We absolutely love our new boys, but we really miss our Heeler boys that we lost. 😞 These showed up today…I’m not crying 😢
I was honored when I was asked to participate in the Great American Teach In. The family that works for me has a little boy that goes to the elementary school across the street from the barn. She said her son and his classmates would come over to see the horses …. I should have asked more questions 😂🤦🏻♀️. The were 12 classes of them!! If I knew that, I would have had my friend and the best kid wrangler I know Tom Johnson to come help!! It was all good though, Abby had the barn spotless as always, everyone was well behaved, the teachers were great. The kids were introduced to 3 breeds of horses (Morgan’s, American Saddlebreds, Arabians ) and we killed two birds with one stone by getting horses worked so each group got to see them in action. HUGE Thank you to Kristi Buehrle Cole for all your help! Even after a day and a half of steady rain my arena footing was awesome not a single puddle, not too wet, and not slick at all!! I’m so glad, because I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with the time if the kids didn’t get to watch horses go. 😳. Felt good to give back to the community ! 😊
No doubt Jenny Ninios has two nice Western horses. She can always count on Batali to make us all look good and her newest horse Kalarama’s Top Gun gets better and better each day. He will be ready for her to take the reins soon. He’s simply stunning going around the ring. We got so many nice compliments. 😊
Bridle Creek Stables is set up and ready to roll at Summer’s End Horse Show!! We left the farm at 7:00 am arrived before 9:00 am and had all nine horses settled in and set up 98% done by noon! I LOVE MY STALL WALLS. ❤️❤️
When riding onto a circle, imagine you are on a ramp in a parking garage heading up to the next level. You ride your horse UP and around the circle. Never pull the inside rein down and in, because you will be taking the horse’s inside shoulder down and in with you. Especially on smaller circles (like 8 or 10 m) I picture a ramp taking me up and around with an outside retaining wall, so my horse can’t bulge through the outside shoulder. Thanks Susan DiFelice Design for this gorgeous illustration!!

Puppies are the best! ❤️🥰
😂
Whew! Got a couple worked before the heavens opened up and man did it pour! The worst part as always in these FL storms was the very close lightning followed by very quick loud thunder. A couple breakers tripped knocking out lights and fans for a bit, but it’s all good now…just wet. 🤷🏻♀️
