Part Time Baking Assistant

Prior kitchen experience in bakery and/or pizzeria; restaurant are a plus.

Helps chef to prepare dough and fillings; operate oven and proofer; prepare bread; general kitchen side job; daily cleaning of baking equipment and maintain cleanliness of kitchen.

Cake Chef

Prior professional cake baking and decorating experience is required. Ability to lead while providing excellent quality control. Work well with a team as well as bakery/fulfillment production workers. Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent follow-up skills, honest, team player, hard worker, positive attitude. Extensive knowledge of conventional baking and ability to translate the skill and art into cake decorating. Exposure to wet floors, noise, and temperature extremes. Must be able to lift and move a 30qt mixer bowl on a semi-regular basis. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Bonus will be given at year end based on performance.

Overall responsibilities:

Mix and Measure products to company specification
Operates oven
Able to work with little or no supervision
Maintain cooking equipment in clean and good working condition
Able to design; decorate cakes and custom made cakes
Able to make chiffon cakes or sponge cakes, cake rolls, cookies, cream puffs, crepe cakes and other desserts as needed

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a cake chef required
Need to provide past/current work samples for review
Able to stand up to 9 hours daily,
Work hours from 8:00am to 5:30pm
Daily production of assorted desserts and cakes and meet required production quantities
Ability to work under pressure and fast-paced environment
Be a team player

Daily cleaning and maintenance of kitchen and storage areas. Counting of weekly physical inventory: Enforce standards of safety, cleanliness, and sanitation as set forth by company policy and Pinellas County Health Department and maintain current ServSafe certification.
