Today makes a month, yep only a month, that we've been open. Huge thank you to the community for showing up, welcoming and supporting us and all the local vendors. I'm grateful to be on this adventure with you all!

Today at church we helped put together 172 hygiene kits for WNC affected by Hurricane Helene. It has been a weekend of giving back. We love our state and our friends and family that live in WNC and all areas affected by Helene. We are so glad we could be a part of the effort in providing help for those affected and in need.

The great thing about being your own business owner is that you make your own schedule. Today we got to take part in a Habitat for Humanity build with Pineville Church and help build the frames for 2 houses. Great way to give back to the community and a learning experience!

Our booth at The Missing Piece is having a sale this weekend to move some of the fall and some of our furniture items. Come out and grab some great deals. Everything in our booth is on sale!

Stopped in to bring a couple great pieces of furniture and finally got a necklace stand. Still in search of some displays to better show off our junk journals. We will of course be back next week with some more goodies.

Stopped by to get Emmanuel's junk journal items back in our booth before the article is published in Lake Norman publications this weekend. Had a customer stop in and Emmanuel helped her pick out just the right piece. Come on out and see what we have. Added some cooking items just in time for the holidays.

Emmanuel has had a great day at Market Day at his Wednesday co-op. A lot of kids had their crafts or foods for sale today. He sold a few of his junk journal embellishments. Emmanuel is having a great time selling at Market Day during his lunch at co-op today. He's already made 3 sales! Don't worry, all of his unsold junk journal items will return to The Missing Piece in our booth tomorrow afternoon after tomorrow's co-op.

Stopped by today to bring in a few things. We are slowly bringing in some Christmas, but I'm not fully committed to it!! Will be back later in the week. Had to borrow Emmanuel's junk journal items for his sale during lunch at co-op tomorrow.

The grand opening of The Missing Piece was a huge success despite Helene causing massive power outages and some damages. Many of us were stocking and pricing in the dark by the light of our cellphone flashlights on Friday.

Emmanuel and I had a great time yesterday volunteering. He merchandised all of the snacks up front and helped give out the free popcorn, drinks and stickers. And I did story time in the massive booth of books!

If you have been affected by Helene know that you have been in our hearts, minds and prayers. I have family stuck in western NC, so I know the stress of not knowing.

We love and appreciate all of our customers and supporters!

We are stocking our booth at The Missing Piece today to get ready for the grand opening. But I seem to have misplaced my son. Does anyone see him? This is expert level!

For all of those in the path of the hurricane or being affected by bad weather out there, please stay safe. We are staying inside today but will be finishing setting up our antique booth tomorrow. The grand opening will happen no matter the weather on Saturday. Praying for the bad weather to pass by then, but if you are worried about being out in it, please know that we appreciate your support. But our booth will be there any time, hurricane or no hurricane. Come check us out when you are able to.

The count down is on!! We spent a very long day after art class getting our shelving to our booth. We will be back tomorrow to start getting items on the shelves and decide the final layout. So excited to be a part of this! Hope y'all can come out on Saturday. I am doing story time! Trust me, you don't want to miss out on this!!

On this day 23 years ago I remember where I was and how I felt. As we all take time to remember today, hold your family and loved ones close. Show kindness to those around you. If no one has told you, you are loved. We remember.

Hey everyone, if you didn't see our latest post, we have rented a new booth at a new and soon to be opening antique mall near Lake Norman. I am on the hunt for shelving to fill the walls up. If you have some nice shelving that is sturdy and you are selling or getting rid of it, please let me know. I don't have a huge budget but having shelving is a must! Move in won't start until after the start of September, so I do have some time to look and not a lot of space to store.

We did a thing today. We rented a vendor booth at the new and opening soon The Missing Piece. Emmanuel and I will have our junk journal items as well as vintage and household items. Here's to an amazing year!! We will be right next to the crafting booth corner and a book/reading booth!!
