in an attempt to re-inspire my drive for making cakes i’ve decided to make cakes with flavors/color palettes/designs inspired by my friends. Naturally, Kaitlyn Ziebell had to be first. The flavor of this cake is a matcha flavored cake with a whipped cream and strawberry mascarpone filling, fresh strawberries, and vanilla buttercream. Kaitlyn and I’s friendship began over a venti Pink Drink with vanilla sweet cream cold foam from Starbucks. I of course had to include that flavor in the cake. Kaitlyn is going easily one of the most down to earth people i have ever met. Every conversation had with her is so interesting and there’s just this sense of homeliness to her. Kaitlyn is also one of the most poised people i have ever met. She carries herself with such conviction and this overwhelming presence that you just know she’s going to do amazing things. To show this I decided to design the cake in the style of lambeth, quite classy if i do say so myself. Kaitlyn Ziebell is my love, and I do not know where I would be without her.
