The stone is prong set on a sterling silver base with an open back. The stone is faceted and measures 1" from front to back. The stone is very light purple tint with a very light yellow tint on one end in bright light. It test high amethyst/citrine. Amethyst is a purple quartz. Citrine is a yellow quartz. Quartz that displays bands of both purple and yellow is known as ametrine. Gem-quality ametrine is sourced from only a single site in Bolivia. Emerald cuts and fantasy carvings are popular ways to showcase the dramatic color zoning in this very durable gemstone. This stone is a very light Ametrine.

The ends are polished, the middle is nugget textured with polished 'squiggle" lines connecting together. Suspended form this piece is a beautiful amber cabochon, bezel set and opened back. The stone is almost in a pyramid shape. Both stones are rich with fossilized plant and insect life. They are a beautiful dark Cognac color. The earrings are stamped 925 with a maker's mark that is worn in both earrings. Almost looks like initials CJ. There is no movement in the top and bottom of the earrings. Bottom is fixed to the top. There are vintage and in good condition, no butterfly backs include. post type for pierced ears.
