The next Over the Mountain Festivals concert will take place Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Please note this is one hour earlier than our previous concerts to better accomodate those not comfortable with night driving as well as those who attend evening church services. A pre-concert lecture given by Dr. Milburn Price will be held from 2:00–2:30 p.m. As always, there is no admission fee to either the lecture or concert. The event will be hosted by Riverchase United Methodist Church, located at 1953 Old Montgomery Highway.

Snead state community band had an awesome concert this past Sunday. We start back up in January - no audition needed to join this band. Come one come all!! Bring a friend 🙂

Keep your pips clean!

This is a bari sax that needed a little TLC before all the Christmas gigs. It plays much better after cleaning the build up out of the 3 pips and regulation adjustments.

Remember the video with the two leaks in the trumpet third slide?? This is the before and after pictures! It plays so much better now without those two leaks.

How did I repair it? First, everything was cleaned. Dentwork came next, then patches. I mimicked the footprint of the ring fl**ge for the leak in that area and then made a patch to cover the leaks in the crook. Cleaned up the solder joints, buffed it and lacquered.

What fun this will be! And great publicity for A&M. Have a wonderful time!

When the 97th edition of the Macy’s Parade kicks off on Thanksgiving morning, the Alabama A&M University Marching Maroon and White (MMW) Band will be the first band to be seen by millions across the country. The AAMU marching band has been selected as the lead band in this year’s parade Thursday, November 23 at 8:30 a.m.

Got red rot? We can help! Check out this trumpet 3rd slide crook. It was dented and had several spots that had corroded through. Installed a patch and matched the scratched finish as best possible.
