I hate that I'm doing this, but I feel helpless and it's the only thing I can think to do. My mother is in a bad way and where she's always been there to support me no matter what I aspire toward or how badly I miss the target, I'm entirely unable to do anything substantial on my own. She's currently working after a minor heart attack against medical advice because any time missed would have her fall short of the rent. She's on her own to care for my youngest brother, who is in college now but has autism and can't live alone just yet.

She doesn't know that I'm doing this, and I plan to be as transparent as possible. I hope to earn the support in some way for anyone who helps out.

I don't want to manipulate or sob story the situation any more than I have to but I wanted to get this in front of anyone who may be willing to lend a hand. If you can't, no worries, and if you think less of me, so be it.

Working a 9 to 5 again makes me feel like way less of a drag on society than the few months I was unemployed and making video essays for no money. The new job is going great.

I'm gonna start adding some more opinionated videos to the mix, where the idea is to give my thoughts on whichever contentious topic in the rock world I point out. Comments are gonna be a good read so stick around, kids.

Loving the new job, but for the first couple of weeks, I'm working a shift that leaves very little time to catch up with content. And while I know most of you will tell me to do what I need to do, in the wise words of Ozzy and Lemmy "Kicking back don't make it"

I'm working on figuring it all out, staying up way too late, and learning an entirely new industry, I want it to be as seamless as possible and I refuse to allow the output to slip. Spent all day editing enough videos for the next 5 days because I'm gonna lose access to my Adobe programs for a few days starting tomorrow. lol

As I've gone through the years of making these videos, I've (hopefully) gotten a lot better at them. There are a few major stories that I burned in the earlier days that I think I may take a crack at again in the current style.
