Authentic Turkish food by Frick Park
The brand new Bosphorous Kitchen is open for business! Named after the Bosphorus strait in Istanbul, this restaurant is located walking distance from Frick Park and Regent Square. I haven’t had Turkish cuisine in a hot minute and this spot did not disappoint. As you can see, these portions big, meaty and much if it’s homemade. Vegetarian eaters will find lots of selections too between eggplant dishes, meat-free appetizers like hummus, falafel, yogurt dips and cucumber salad and more.
12/10 on everything!
Don’t miss ordering a lil cup of Turkish coffee and dessert!

I’m still thinking about the launch party menu for last month. Doesn’t this spread look amazing? Check out their page for details on the next dinner coming up in September (sorry, August is already sold out!).
Every month, the private chefs come up with a different popover flavor — plus more seasonal entrees and desserts. Come for the food, but stay for the company at this unique Airbnb house in Beechview.

Your reminder to get brunch at The PA Market!
The second floor of the PA Market in the Strip District has a lot to offer! When it comes to brunch, it’s not just a weekend meal here. Wednesdays - Fridays count too! Six concepts make up this mini food hall on the second floor — each with their own brunch picks. We ordered a generous portion of the poached salmon eggs benny, a classic huevos rancheros, and saved room for the s’mores pancakes for dessert!
Pair your meal with one of the seasonal cocktails, mocktails or a glass of vino from the extensive wine collection. The popsicle drink definitely cooled us off that day.
I need to go back for the brisket hash and smoked salmon board! Who’s with me?
📍108 19th Street - second floor
🕚 Brunch is served until 3:30pm from Wednesdays - Sundays

When the theme is popover! 🎉
*hosted New to the Pittsburgh dining scene is Popover for Dinner. Led by two private chefs in an adorable Beechview airbnb home, Popover for Dinner is an intimate supper club taking place once a month with different culinary theme and popover flavor. As I’m typing this, I heard the August dinner is down from 12 seats to 2!
The chefs invited me to their first popover dinner, and here’s what we ate:
Popover with black truffle and gryuere
Crab cake with shaved brussel sprouts
Cioppino-style risotto with mussels, shrimp and scallops
Very berry cheesecake made from scratch
Prices very per dinner, and guests may BYOB. Check out their IG page for details on upcoming dinners.
Beer flights & pizzas 🍻🍕
The Washington Brewing Company knows how to do pizzas and beers right! The pizzas are made in wood fired ovens, and their house smoked meats are prepared in a Big Green Egg grill. Pair it with a beer via a glass, a flight, fill up your growlers or even take home a keg!
During my visit I ordered their signature Brewer’s Pizza with housemade sausage and marinara, topped with pepperoni and hot honey. 🤩
Choose from ~10 beers on tap, and you guys know I’m always down for a flight! Their lineup right now includes seasonal brews (like blackberry or strawberry basil pilsners), a s’mores stout, plus a delicious PB&J brown ale, among more choices.
I want right at their Saturday opening hour, and the place started to fill up quickly for lunch. 🙌 Give them a visit next time you’re in Washington County!

Say less!! I can’t resist this combo. I ordered the milk tea boba (sugar free, less ice), along with a tasty taro mochi donut. I love the fun size, shape and chewy consistency of these donuts.

Momos in Pittsburgh 🥟🥟🥟
|invited| Pittsburghers love their dumplings, but have you ever tried a momo??
Momos, otherwise known as dumplings, are a staple in Nepalese (and Tibetan) cuisine. They come fried or steamed and are packed with protein and veggie fillings. A few people told me Namaste Momo Corner in the South Hills has the most authentic Nepalese food in PGH! So here we are. 🙌
Momos that we ordered:
Johl (soup-based)
Classic steamed momos
C-Style (onions and bell pepper)
Sadeko (veggie momos in a very spicy sauce)
The menu also features rice and noodle-based dishes, appetizers and delicious drinks like the mango lassi and a hot chai.
