You can catch me at light up night in McDonald the night before Thanksgiving! I will have all of my holiday goodies, there will be food trucks, old fashioned carolers, horse drawn carriage rides and of course the big man in the red suit with his main lady. Still tentative on a December pop up as well closer to Christmas, so I will keep ya posted!

I’ve been wanting to offer dried flower jewelry for quite some time, but haven’t been able to make the investment in the supplies, BUT I found a local vendor from the burg that offers these gorgeous handmade pendants. Score!

There are only a few of these available, and not sure if I’ll be able to restock since the pendants are currently sold out. These will ship out sometime next week!

Mother’s Day is just around the corner! I’m going to have lots of goodies Saturday at the Spring Handmade Market in Bavington. If you’re local be sure to stop out and grab your self or that special mom figure in your life a gift and check out what everyone has to offer!

I do have some items I was planning for an Earth and Mother’s Day combo, but I won’t be listing those items on the site until the first week of May. They will be available in person next Saturday at the spring market!

You may have noticed I’ve haven’t been sharing much jewelry over here lately.

I’ve spent countless hours searching for the perfect pendants and stones that fit my vision for collections, naming them specifically to flow with my vision, ordering, ACTUALLY making those visions manifest into physical, taking/editing/exporting/uploading listing images, researching healing properties and creating text for listings, imagining and creating content for social media. The list goes on and on really.

So much of this goes unseen. SO many small business owners and creatives are the ONLY driving force behind their business. It can be so rewarding when you’re doing well and it can be soul sucking when you aren’t.

Trying to grow and expand via social media has been the most frustrating thing to try to bring to fruition. It’s hard to get seen and expand with so many talented people out here on the internet and with endless options. It can leave you feeling stagnant.

I never imagined I’d be one to go viral or be able to quit my day job and become a jewelry slinging hippie, but I did hope and pray and bust my toosh to grow SW&S into something I could be proud of and that people would enjoy and think “wow, I need that necklace” or “wow that bracelet speaks to me soul”. I’d like to think I’ve at least gotten that far.

All of that to say this. I’m not taking a break per-say, but I am taking a step back from dropping large collections and doing the social
media hype up that comes with it. That’s not to say I won’t be sharing and listing new things on the website and here on the gram. I just won’t be doing large releases and constantly sharing content.

I hope you still follow along, and like I said, I will still be listing new things in the shop and sharing sneak peeks sporadically, it’s just gonna be a lot more laid back over here. And honestly, it just feels right.

The website will be unavailable starting today through Monday until after the show at Bedners on Sunday! This helps me stay organized with inventory since I don’t have unlimited amounts of things. Wishing you guys an awesome weeks end and hope to see some of you Sunday!
