This evening, we released the final mama cat back to the Mt. Washington colony. We named her Scooter because she almost scooted out of that trap last weekend. Scooter and her friends used to have a regular feeder. That feeder moved away, and the neighbors are now being selective about which cats they will feed and which cats they won’t. It is extremely disheartening to hear that one or two are more important than the rest. How can you help? There is one family willing to feed since the cats come to their back yard, but they don’t have the funds to keep up with the feeding of 8 cats. Would any of our followers be willing to donate monthly to keep these kitties fed? We would likely be looking at one or 2 large bags of food per month. Maybe around $60 worth? So, what was once 20 cats at the Mt. Washington colony, is now 25. This pretty girl comes from a family of 4, and there’s one long lost male who made his way back after a few months of… hunting. 🙃 This means more money needed. More fosters needed. We have personally taken on 10 of the 20 trapped last week, and it’s looking like we’re going to need a place to shove this girl and her 2 siblings, while also getting mom vetted.
