Lawrence Hall, a Bar and Multi-Concept Eatery on Butler Street, Opens Friday Lawrenceville Hall opens Friday, April 12. The building houses four kitchens and the city’s first Leona’s Ice Cream scoop shop.

Join us at this Friday's (April 5) Unblurred event from 6-9pm featuring “CADENCE” a solo exhibition featuring Tim Engelhardt’s artworks from his “Jazz Series”. Based on the intertwined relationship of abstract art with musical expression, the exhibition is essentially inspired by Jazz music and showcases city portraits that depict the relationship between rhythm, painting, and the human psyche.

The Allegheny River House offers breathtaking winter views. The house takes advantage of the property's adjacency to a natural water source to efficiently heat and cool the home with the highly sustainable zoned geothermal water-source heat pump system.

We believe in the impact of Architecture and Interior Design in creating welcoming spaces. We worked with our client for Pusadee's Garden to be an expression of gratitude and gathering to the city that embraced her and her family as immigrants.

Artwork was the centerpiece of the design of The Grable Foundation's office, filling common areas, conference rooms, and private spaces. We inventoried and strategically rehung their extensive art collection in their new space while selecting new pieces, many from local Pittsburgh artists. Whenever possible, we like to support artists' and artisans' works in our projects.

Stop by this Friday, Nov 3rd from 6-9PM for our last Unblurred exhibition of the season. For the month of November we will have artist Valerie Chirigos in our space, and we're happy to have her!

Valerie Chirigos' selection of artwork on display is from a body of work created in France, where she lived for 18 years, before returning to Pittsburgh in 2022. Valerie's paintings on paper incorporate text, marks and colors to convey a variety of moods and energy. The layers of text—which are her thoughts at the moment of creating the piece and not preconceived—are sometimes combined with abstract gestures. Valerie's urban topography photographs focus on the vibrant array of colors, textures and details found while exploring the Paris landscape.

2023 Design Award of Merit, Flemish51 on Butler. The Jury said, "Flemish51 successfully integrates modern design elements into a historic streetscape. The design approach develops a relationship between the old and the new, using a steel structure to imply a third story that is home to a rooftop patio. Sophisticated brickwork along with the introduction of greenery creates a stunning facade and the attention to the interior details of the wooden stairs is commendable."

Autumn's crisp and colorful evenings remind us of the glow of these cantilevered "lanterns" of our past McCleary School Condo project. The design set these lantern elements into and engaged with the existing building, connecting the new and old.

2023 Design Award of Honor, Penn Atlantic Building. The Jury said, "The reconstruction of the podium building as part of the massing strategy is a successful nod to the past history of this land. Further, the awning with wooden soffit, accessible ramp, and large operable window walls at the first floor create a porosity at the streetscape that blurs the interior program with passerby. The Penn Avenue facade is exceptional. The physical depth as well as material composition of brick, corten steel, and frosted glass is stunning and integrates raw materials that embrace Pittsburgh's industrial heritage.

mossArchitects and DLR Group were hired to re-envision and modernize Pittsburgh's Downtown Greer Cabaret Theater and Backstage Bar. The design draws inspiration from 1900s luxury train travel, with patina, intricate woodwork, and lavish materials.

The Jury said, "The thoughtful approach to the site illustrates the design team's understanding of building resilience, building on a remote site, and high-performance mechanical systems. further, the design has structurally challenging elements that blur the interior/exterior living spaces and further emphasize the spacial and tectonic separation of the house from the ground."

We can't get enough of this outdoor gathering space overlooking Butler Street in Lawrenceville! We utilized roof deck planters, landscaping, and a steel trellis to maintain the appearance of a 3-story height to relate to the neighborhood's traditional building proportion.

Her solo show, Shifts in Urban Landscape, explores ways to render her perspective through geometric abstraction by applying layers of acrylic and graphite markings on canvas, burlap, and corrugated cardboard. What Renovated Cultural District Space Will Bring New Entertainment to Downtown? | Pittsburgh Magazine The fully renovated Greer Cabaret Theater formally re-opens this Friday night with the Pittsburgh CLO’s production of “tick, tick ... BOOM!”

Despite being built on an extremely confined urban lot, we created a unique vertical design solution for this Lawrenceville residence which allowed for several outdoor spaces including this welcoming rear patio.
