GM! πŸ’š Here's a tasty Breakfast "Banana Almond Butter Smoothie" to keep up your energy and start your day strong!

Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1\/2 cup of lactose-free or almond milk (or any other non-dairy milk substitute)
- 1 tablespoon of almond butter or sunflower seed butter
- 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed or chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon of honey, agave or maple syrup (optional for added sweetness)
- Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions:
1. Peel the ripe banana and break it into small pieces.
2. In a blender, add the banana pieces, lactose-free or almond milk, almond butter or sunflower seed butter, and ground flaxseed or chia seeds.
3. If desired, add a teaspoon of honey, agave or maple syrup for added sweetness.
4. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a few ice cubes to thin it out.
5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy!

This smoothie provides a good balance of nutrients, including healthy fats from the almond butter or sunflower seed butter, fiber from the ground flaxseed and potassium from the banana. It can be a gentle and easily digestible breakfast option for individuals with Gastroparesis.

Hello GPWarriors! Today I wanted to share with you a light, πŸ«‘gut-healthy and easy to make recipe which is a plant based, tasty twist of the every day norm Pasta dish! It's my "Yummy" πŸ˜‹ Gut-Healthy Fettuccine Alfredo!

Instructions for Pasta:

Instructions for Sauce:
1) Boil 4-5 cups of water. Soak cashews in hot water for 5 min.

2) in a small sauce pan heat olive oil over medium heat. Once oil is hot add onions and saute' for 5 minutes until translucent. Remove from heat when done.

3) Drain cashews. Add them to blender along with saute'd onions and powdered garlic, unsweetened Almond milk, nutritional yeast, salt and pepper (you can add a little splash of chicken or veggie broth if you want added flavor)

4) Blend until Smooth ( until it has a sauce consistancy.)

5) Pour your sauce over pasta and stir. If you would like to heat it up a bit just heat on low until your sauce is warmed to your liking.

6) Sprinkle the parsley on top of pasta and serve immediately!

**(Note) Feel free to use bottled or homemade Alfredo Sauce and you can also add chicken or your meat of choice along with any vegtables you may like if you so desire. This recipe was made Plant based for people who suffer from Gastroparesis and other gut diseases or issues which makes digesting protein and vegtables very painful or slow to digest.

😊 Brunch anyone? Hello GPWarriors! I decided to make a quick Egg scramble with spinach, peeled/seeded and diced tomatoes with avacado on top and a ripe banana on the side. It's quick, easy to digest and tasty to boot! πŸ˜‹

** For my GPWarriors who cannot tolerate Avacado or tomato, you can omit them completely. Add vegan cheese or any other veggie that you can easily digest. This dish is very tasty with just eggs, spinach and seasoning of your choice. Enjoy πŸ’š

🌾Hello friends and family,

As we open a new chapter of the year this August, it's important to take a moment and raise awareness about a condition that affects many yet remains widely unknown - Gastroparesis. This month is recognized as Gastroparesis Awareness Month.

Gastroparesis is a long term (Chronic) condition that affects the stomach muscles and prevents proper stomach emptying. Gastroparesis often causes the stomach to become completely paralyzed leading to a multitude of health complications. It can happen to anyone, especially in people who are Diabetic, and also caused by common abdominal surgical procedures. This causes damage to the "Vagus Nerve" and it's branches in the small intestine or stomach. This is what causes gastroparesis to occur. Symptoms are often misunderstood or misdiagnosed.

Awareness is the first step towards understanding and empathy. Let's take this month to educate ourselves and others about this condition, to support those living with it, and to push for more research and better treatment options.

Remember, every person fighting Gastroparesis is a warrior, and they need our love, support, and understanding. If you know someone who is battling this disease, please take a moment to let them know they are not alone.

May this month bring hope, strength and understanding to all those affected. Let's stand together in the fight against Gastroparesis. πŸ’š
