Construction on the reverse osmosis machine in Ahlihadzi is underway. Once completed, the machine will purify water from the borehole so it is safe for consumption. Big news today in Ghana! BBF is installing a water borehole in the village of Ahlihadzi in partnership with Hope for Ghana. Ahlihadzi is home to around 1,200 to 1,500 villagers who currently walk to ½ mile to retrieve dirty water from a river. After starting the construction, it was realized that water gathered from a borehole at this location would be unsafe to drink. BBF has expanded this project to include solar panels that will provide energy for a reverse osmosis machine to purify the water. By installing renewable energy, BBF can ensure villagers will have long-term access to safe, clean drinking water by avoiding unsustainable future costs.

Last week, the BBF mobile health clinic saw its first patients. Run in partnership with Allegheny Health Network, Highmark Wholecare, and Project Theia, the clinic provided free vision screenings and diabetic retinal eye exams.

Our Brother's Brother Foundation warehouse staff in Pittsburgh continues to load and send supplies in the effort to help victims of the 7.2 earthquake in her Haiti earlier this month. Supplies including prescription medication’s medical supplies and other items to be distributed to those impacted by this natural disaster.

In the aftermath of the Surfside building collapse, so many generous actions were started and continue to help ease the burdens of those affected. Brother's Brother Foundation (BBF) has partnered with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (GMJF), to collect funds in response to the collapse of Champlain Towers South in Surfside, Florida. BBF is contributing to an emergency assistance fund established by the GMJF to provide for short and long term needs of those affected by the collapse. 100% of all the proceeds raised will be used to support residents and families affected by this disaster.
