We are sad to say bye for now to . Their last day at the shops is Saturday before they move to Philly with thier awesome partner and pack of kitties. Ash has been such an awesome human to work with, a sweet person, a friend and has worked form one day a week sales to being our Marketing Manager and a Teacher over the last year. Luckily they will still be staying on part time and working remotely a few hours a week, but we will miss them terribly. If you’ve had a class with Ash or just become a regular on thier shifts- stop by and wish them luck this week or treat them to a coffee. We had a lil ice cream date today with the store full timers to wish her well and a fab new start in Philly.

We’ve been so lucky to have them on the team and just all the sunshine, great ideas, hard work, sweet crochet work and laughs they brought to the shops. Let’s not forget about best style and makeup 💄 made me step it up a bit myself hahah.

Few folks have been asking about the warehouse on these super hot days. So just wanna let folks know the scoop. Usually classes are on the front side of our building which does have a small air conditioner and a lot of fans. However, time to time we do host classes in the back side of our warehouse such as tufting or on busy days and that side of the warehouse can get a little warmer, but we do always have lots of fans and cold drinks for classes. Same for our Indie Mart next week! 🧊🧃🧋🧉 It’s usually pretty comfortable in here. See ya soon 👋

We love love over here. Maybe it’s summer and the flowers and the sunshine. When I saw these pictures of Darla and Abu from I just melted and thought about summer love and holding hands. ❤️ We met our friends and neighbors of back at a Wilkinsburg Holiday Show and they just made a delicious juice and were so sweet, genuine and fun. When they opened down the street at 4114 Penn Ave- we were sooo excited.

Opening a small business is so much work, love and dedication. We love making new business friends and just collaborating when we can 💕😀 We wanted to highlight this Summer as one of our favorite businesses and you’ll be seeing them popping up on our feed since they modeled for us this week. Talk about couple goals yall! Seeing these photos shot by made me want to take a summer walk with my sweetie holding hands.

Lots of new in the shops. We’ve been carrying Ash and Chess for years and will continue to. We also are carrying several of the items that a certain bullseye big box store wouldn’t and should’ve. Thankful that Ash and Chess released some of the Target stuff that got pulled last year so everyone gets a chance to support them. ❤️🌈🦄🏳️‍🌈

We are so excited to be hosting Wilkinsburg Youth Creative Entrepreneurship program again this year ❤️ Our Indie Mart on June 30th is also a youth showcase for the teens in this awesome program. and workshop will be working with all of the teens to set up thier own tables/ booths, create thier designs /and sell them keeping 💯 of the profits. We have been suppprted by and local organizations to make this happen every year and the showcase at Indie Mart gives them the chance to start thier own business and become designers/ makers. Yesterday was our first print day and they have some great designs! Please come out and support all the rad artists and teen creatives in the program. As well we will be accepting donations at the event to give out mini grants and offer free classes beyond thier showcase and camp to continue learning, creating and having space to do so.

Huge thanks to for organizing this year after year and letting us get involved to support local Wilkinsburg Yourh Makers. It makes June a favorite month for us over here and we can’t wait to get to know them all more of June. Thanks yall! Please come out on June 30th to support

We are super excited to be teaming up with our friends at for a fabric and craft swap! Woohoo! We will be hosting this at our warehouse on July 28th with lots of room. For several days leaving up to the weekend, we will be accepting donations at our warehouse im Wilkinsburg. In addition to the morning of before the event. Then folks can come back to join in. We will be excepting fabric, notions, yarn, tools and any general craft /art/ diy supplies that are in good condition, in baggies when smalls/ applicable and organized. Since this is a volunteer event for us – we want to keep sorting and organizing as streamlined as possible. So please make sure you go through your items and organize them – so we don’t end up with too many boxes of tangled pipe cleanersexploded glitter. We have limited help and time to organize. Thanks for your help in that.

The event is for everyone and has a $5 suggested donation that goes directly to !

We will be partnering with Creative reuse on this event and donating any leftover items. Which they will be sorting and handling (also why we are asking for a donation to support them). We also will be creating some craft kits that will go out to schools, community arts organizations, and art teachers who can use them. Please share and let your artist, maker and teacher friends know. We will post more details as the event gets closer and after. Our brainstorming session next week. We also will share any food and drinks vendors joining us. Excited!
