In a Sunday sermon, have you ever heard a pastor gear the entire sermon so it could be listened to by children and parents?

In all my years of attending church, Pastor Jesse is the first pastor to do that when he spoke to the children and parents regarding Ephesians 6:1-4.

What stood out to me was the verse ‘Honor your father and mother. This is the first of God's Ten Commandments that ends with a promise. And this is the promise that if you honor your father and mother, yours will be a long life full of blessings.” (Ephesians 6:2-3, TLB)

What is so significant about this verse?

This verse is the first of God’s Ten Commandments that ends with a promise.

Jesus also spoke seriously about this verse:

“For instance, God’s law is ‘Honor your father and mother; anyone who reviles his parents must die. But you say, ‘Even if your parents are in need, you may give their support money to the church instead. And so, by your man-made rule, you nullify the direct command of God to honor and care for your parents. (Matthew 15:4-6, TLB)

If you are the created, would you not want to know what commandments the Creator had in store for you?

I know I would!

So, what are these Ten Commandments?

These Ten Commandments, when lived out, will not hurt a human being whether mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, husband, neighbor, etc

Since the United States was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, the Ten Commandments must also be part of American history.

They should be displayed in every classroom in America.

Knowing that the Ten Commandments plaque is displayed outside the Allegheny County courthouse is so pleasing.

It is so exciting to know that the governors of Louisiana and Oklahoma require the Ten Commandments to be posted in public school classrooms.

Reading the Ten Commandments is wonderful for every child and adult because it will show them how life should be lived.

“You may worship no other god than me.

“You shall not make yourselves any idols: no images of animals, birds, or fish. You must never bow or worship it in any way; for I, the Lord your God, am very possessive. I will not share your affection with any other god!"

“You shall not use the name of Jehovah your God irreverently, nor use it to swear to a falsehood. You will not escape punishment if you do."

“Remember to observe the Sabbath as a holy day. Six days a week are for your daily duties and your regular work, but the seventh day is a day of Sabbath rest before the Lord your God. On that day you are to do no work of any kind, nor shall your son, daughter, or slaves—whether men or women—or your cattle or your house guests.

“Honor your father and mother, that you may have a long, good life in the land the Lord your God will give you."

"You must not murder."

“You must not commit adultery."

“You must not steal."

“You must not lie."

“You must not be envious of your neighbor’s house, or want to sleep with his wife, or want to own his slaves, oxen, donkeys, or anything else he has. ”(Exodus 20:1-17, TLB)

The Ten Commandments are the law of God given to Moses to give to the people of Israel.

What happens when people break the law?

There are consequences for breaking the law.

What happens when we break any of the Ten Commandments?

It shows us that we are not perfect and have sinned.

If we sin, God cannot allow us into His presence.

Ouch!

Now what?

It makes children and adults realize they have missed the mark and fall short of being perfect human beings.

If I can keep 9 Commandments but falter on 1 Commandment, and I still have broken the whole law.

“And the person who keeps every law of God but makes one little slip is just as guilty as the person who has broken every law there is. For the God who said you must not marry a woman who already has a husband also said you must not murder, so even though you have not broken the marriage laws by committing adultery, but have murdered someone, you have entirely broken God’s laws and stand utterly guilty before him. You will be judged on whether or not you are doing what Christ wants you to. So watch what you do and what you think.” (James 2:10-11, TLB)

What the Ten Commandments show us is that none of us are perfect.

That also means if we are imperfect, we cannot be with a perfect God because logic says imperfect + perfect = imperfect.

If we cannot be with a perfect God, Heaven has been elusive. Sadly, the only alternative is Hell.

Ouch?

After you die, if God asks you, “Why should I let you into Heaven, what would your response be?

If your response is that you have been a good person, then God should let you in, is that really true?

Is anyone truly good?

“The Lord looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who are wise, who want to please God. But no, all have strayed away; all are rotten with sin. Not one is good, not one! (Psalm 14:2-3, TLB)

As the Scriptures say, ”No one is good---no one in all the world is innocent.” No one has ever really followed God’s paths or even truly wanted to. Everyone has turned away; all have gone wrong. No one anywhere has kept on doing what is right; not one.” (Romans 3:10-12, TLB)

But you may say you have been good 99% of the time, so that should be good enough for God to accept you, right?

Wrong!

Imagine you need water to enter your body, so you ask for a cup of water that you believe to be 100% purified water. Now, right in front of you, a drop of CYANIDE is placed in the water.

Will you still drink it?

More than likely not!

You will not say that it is 99% purified water and only 1% cyanide, so you are okay to drink it.

You will turn down the water from entering your body because of the 1% cyanide.

Imagine you needed milk to enter your body, so you asked for a cup of milk, which you believed to be 100% milk. Now, right in front of you, the server SPITS into it.

Will you still drink it?

More than likely not!

You will not say that it is 99% purified milk and only 1% spit, so you are okay to drink it.

You will prevent the milk from entering your body because of the 1% spit.

Imagine you needed a pure white shirt for an interview, so you wear it with a black pen inside your pocket. Now, the black pen leaks and creates a BLACK DOT visible enough for the interviewer.

Will you still wear it?

More than likely not!

You will not say that it is 99% white and only 1% black dot, so you are okay to wear it.

You will take off your shirt and wear a pure white shirt.

Now, if we as sinful human beings distinguish even 1% of something being bad over 99% of something being good, what should a perfect God do?

A perfect God will not allow us into Heaven.

Now what?

Here comes the greatest Good News.

Once we realize we cannot enter Heaven because of our own good works, because no matter how much good we do, it will not erase the bad, we have hope because we will know even the good we think we do is seen as filthy rags because we are sinful human beings. But we will be pointed to Jesus!

“God looks down from heaven, searching among all mankind to see if there is a single one who does right and really seeks for God. But all have turned their backs on him; they are filthy with sin—corrupt and rotten through and through. Not one is good, not one!” (Psalm 53:2-4, TLB)

"You welcome those who cheerfully do good, who follow godly ways. But we are not godly; we are constant sinners and have been all our lives. Therefore, your wrath is heavy on us. How can such as we be saved? We are all infected and impure with sin. When we put on our prized robes of righteousness, we find they are but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves we fade, wither, and fall. And our sins, like the wind, sweep us away. Yet no one calls upon your name or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned away from us and turned us over to our sins.” (Isaiah 64:5-7, TLB)

Now, we know we cannot depend on ourselves to save us anymore to get us into Heaven.

Now what?

We realize the Ten Commandments help us see our shortcomings and know we have broken the law and not kept them.

So how can we enter Heaven and not Hell?

“Now do you see it? No one can ever be made right in God’s sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of God’s laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren’t obeying them; his laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners.” (Romans 3:20, TLB)

“But now God has shown us a different way to heaven---not by “being good enough” and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept us and acquit us—declare us “not guilty”---if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like. Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God’s glorious ideal; yet now God declares us “not guilty” of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins.” (Romans 3:21-24, TLB)

“For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God’s anger against us. He used Christ’s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath.” (Romans 3:25, TLB)

"Because of His kindness, you have been saved through trusting Christ. And even trusting is not of yourselves; it too is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it. It is God Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago He planned that we should spend these lives in helping others." (Ephesians 6:8-10, TLB)

This applies to all of us. The Lord Jesus can save us by trusting Him and calling upon His name. He will help us live for Him.

So, the Ten Commandments show how much we need Jesus not only for the afterlife but also for the here and now. Once we turn to Christ, He will begin the process of sanctification.

From the time President Trump became president in 2016, the elites in the mainstream media and certain factions of the government tried their best to knock him out.

What better way than a bullet?

As Trump was becoming more popular, they decided to impeach him because Trump allegedly wanted to withhold aid to Ukraine because of the Burisma scandal in which Hunter Biden and VP Biden were supposedly involved in.

Trump was impeached again and acquitted.

After Trump lost the election, he felt strongly that fraud was involved because of mail-in ballots, etc, so he would not accept the results. This led to the Jan 6th riots even though Trump asked for peaceful protest.

Trump was impeached and acquitted.

Trump goes out into the sunset after 2021.

In 2021 & 2022, no one brought any cases against Trump.

Once Trump decided to run for president, the attacks began.

First, they tried to take him off the ballot in places like Colorado.

Trump won at the Supreme Court.

Then, they brought four cases against him, including having him convicted of 34 felonies.

The Biden administration did not stop the Department of Justice from being weaponized against Trump.

But Trump’s popularity did not go down but only grew.

T hree impeachments did not stop him.

R eally trying to remove him from ballots did not stop him.

U nderway court cases and trials did not stop him.

M enacingly the DOJ did not stop him.

P eople assassinating his character by calling him Hi**er, etc did not stop him.

Now what?

Only DEATH remained!

Crooks tried to assassinate Trump right before the convention in Butler, PA.

Not just Matthew Crooks but what if the crooks of the government were involved?

Was the government involved in a conspiracy to take out Trump?

Why was the most dangerous roof left unattended by the United States Secret Service (USSS)?

Why was Trump allowed to get his shoes even after shots were fired?

Why was protection for President Trump outsourced to local law enforcement?

Is it not suspicious that the Director of the USSS is a Biden appointee on whose watch the assassination attempt happened?

When you think about all the different ways the government tried to get rid of Trump from running, these are not far-fetched questions.

How convenient after multiple shots were fired, then a 20-year-old assassin is killed, so no questions can be asked.

Who is really behind this?

Is it the deep state?

We need answers.

You would think we were living in Russia because of how Putin eliminates threats to him and makes it look like they died on their own.

The devil came to PA as Sen. Tim Scott said so we need to fight it with the Lord's mighty power.

“Last of all I want to remind you that your strength must come from the Lord’s mighty power within you. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all strategies and tricks of Satan. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. So use every piece of God’s armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks, and when it is all over, you will still be standing up. But to do this, you will need the strong belt of truth and the breastplate of God’s approval. Wear shoes that are able to speed you on as you preach the Good News of peace with God. In every battle you will need faith as your shield to stop the fiery arrows aimed at you by Satan. And you will need the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the Word of God. Pray all the time. Ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes. It is a miracle Trump is alive.

What does the opposition do after the opponent is shot?

They send him well wishes and prayers and call for unity.

Let us remember those are the same people who have called Pres. Trump, a threat to Democracy, destroyer of America, and even Hi**er.

If you thought Trump was all these things, would you still send your well wishes and prayers?

We need answers, and we need them fast because is it not interesting that after the Supreme Court ruling regarding presidential immunity and Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s scathing dissent, an attempt was made on Trump’s life?

In their mind, were they thinking that it is better for one man to die than an entire nation to be destroyed?

Trump is no Jesus! But as Jesus was becoming very popular with the people, the religious leaders were afraid power would go away from them.

So what did they do?

"What are we going to do?” they asked each other. “For this man certainly does miracles. If we let him alone the whole nation will follow him—and then the Roman army will come and kill us and take over the Jewish government.” And one of them, Caiaphas, who was High Priest that year, said, “You stupid idiots—let this one man die for the people—why should the whole nation perish?” This prophecy that Jesus should die for the entire nation came from Caiaphas in his position as High Priest—he didn’t think of it by himself, but was inspired to say it. It was a prediction that Jesus’ death would not be for Israel only, but for all the children of God scattered around the world. So from that time on the Jewish leaders began plotting Jesus’ death. Jesus replied that the time had come for him to return to his glory in heaven, and that “I must fall and die like a kernel of wheat that falls into the furrows of the earth. Unless I die I will be alone—a single seed. But my death will produce many new wheat kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. If you love your life down here—you will lose it. If you despise your life down here—you will exchange it for eternal glory.( John 12:23-25, TLB)

Only through an independent investigation and congressional hearings can we get to the real truth regarding the attempted assassination of Trump. Outsourcing to local law enforcement especially in a blue state for a red state candidate is still the responsiblity of the USS presidential detail. They cannot push the blame to local law enforcement.

That said, many exemplary Secret Service agents would give their lives to those they are protecting, but we need to remember that the DOJ and all the intelligence agencies still have people loyal to President Obama, who hates President Trump.

Let us not forget the Hunter Laptop saga. Even though the New York Post broke the story, social media accounts such as Twitter and Facebook tried to suppress it before the election. Not only that 51 people signed off on it who were loyal to Obama that the laptop story was a fake. Now we find out it is true. But the final kicker is the failing health of President Biden. The deep state and media have tried to hide it for years too.

If the assassination attempt on Trump’s life is a conspiracy, we need to get to the bottom of it before the November 2024 elections. As an independent, it is important to me, regardless of the party, if a conspiracy is suspected. The truth needs to come out for freedom.

It was shocking to hear Harmeet Dhillon, a Sikh woman give the closing prayer at the Republican National Convention (RNC). It was not because she was a woman but because her prayer had nothing to do with Judeo-Christian prayers.

So, what, you may wonder?

Let me ask you this question.

Would you expect a prayer to the Lord Jesus or Jehovah God at the Bharata Janata Party (BJP), a Hindu nationalist party convention?

Would there not be outrage that instead of calling a Brahman priest, they called a Christian pastor to give the closing prayer?

Of course, there would be outrage whether you want to admit it or not!

In India, you would expect a Hindu prayer if they were going to end a BJP convention in prayer and not a Christian prayer. It makes sense because the population of India is predominately Hindu including the BJP.

So, it was sadly sacrilegious when Dhillon was asked to give the closing prayer, to which she sang a religious Sikh song and called upon her god.

Is this what the Republican party has come to under their allegiance to former president Trump?

Trump and the RNC Chair should be held responsible for this outrageous, sacrilegious act.

Sacrilegious means ‘extremely disrespectful towards something considered sacred. An action that causes deep offense to a believer.’ (Source: www.vocabulary.com

GotQuestions states, “One of the most common forms of sacrilege today is the profaning of God’s holy name and the name of our Lord Jesus. This is in direct violation of Exodus 20:7 which states, ‘You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.”

Granted, Dhillon was sincere in her prayer because that is who she prays to, but America was not founded on Sikhism but on Judeo-Christian prayer and principles. The framers of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence prayed to the Lord Jesus.

The Ten Commandments are the foundation of American governance and American jurisprudence not the Ten Gurus of Sikhism. Dhillon should not have prayed the Ardas at the RNC.

Does the RNC want to Make America Great Again?

Start from the beginning. Bring prayer back to the schools! Put the Ten Commandments in every school for the children to read.

It is wonderful to know atleast Louisiana and Oklahoma require the Ten Commandments to be posted in school classrooms.

Rather than close with Dhillon’s prayer, it would have been best to close with the Ten Commandments.

Then God issued this edict:

It is important to remember what our nation was founded upon. We should never let America’s melting pot reasons interfere with God’s absolute standard. Praying to anybody but the Lord Jesus should be non-negotiable at the RNC. Yet, Trump and the RNC Chair committed a sacrilegious act. It is my hope this was a one-time thing and will not continue every day.

Jesus said, “I AM the WAY; I AM the TRUTH; and I AM the LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through me.”(John 14:6, TLB)

It is also my hope that people of all religions will still vote for Trump over Biden because Trump’s policies will trump Biden’s policies any day.

The RNC should not try to please everyone for when we do that, we please no one. If you try to be the Jack of All Trades, you will be the Jack of None!

The prayer was only one aspect of the RNC that went bad! Their platform on abortion is horrendous. Before, it always used to be that we would protect the sanctity of life at all costs, but now it is ‘we will leave abortion [murder] up to the states to decide.’

Trump was almost murdered in an attempted assassination. Of all people, it was hoped he would continue to champion the plight of the unborn. But, he has become more of a politician than the protector of innocent life.

You don’t leave murder to the states like Pennsylvania did when Trump was almost assassinated on the state’s watch. You have to have a backbone and say murder is wrong and the unborn need to be protected across all states.

The RNC may be trying to be a tent for all people, but let it beware that if Trump loses the Evangelical Christian vote, he will probably lose the election.

What reason should Evangelicals vote for him?

We cannot vote for him because of what he did as president. We need to see what he plans to do now. Our hope is Trump’s close draw with death will make him realize how much God gave him a second chance and that he will live according to God’s Word, on which America was founded.

God’s Word is the Pittsburgh Standard for living and should be the RNC’s standard for living. Praise of Jesus alone is not enough; people must not also espouse relativism, pantheism, and dualism.
