It’s time for our final rehearsal before our concert tomorrow! We couldn’t do it without these extraordinary instrumentalists! Ellen Fast is a highly sought after pianist and vocalist, performing with the Pittsburgh Camerata, Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, Seraphic Singers, Ovrearts, Voces Solis, and more! We are so lucky to have the opportunity to feature her as a piano soloist on our October 1st concert. This is one you don’t want to miss!
We’ll also be featuring Edward Alan Moore on the organ for both the Chichester Psalms and the Dorchester Canticles. Edward is the Organist/Music Director at East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA. In the past decade, Moore’s packed performance schedule included collaborations with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh as well as many concerts at various locations in the Pittsburgh area, at the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine, and at Riverside Church in New York City.

Sophia Sellner is a senior at The Ellis School and she has been singing with the Pittsburgh Girls Choir under director Kathryn Barnard since she was seven years old! She is now a part of both Concentio and Chamber Choir and has enjoyed touring with the choir and sharing music with others. Sophia also has played the violin since third grade as well as participated in school music performances. Last year, she had the opportunity to perform with the Pittsburgh Girls Choir as an opener to the Camerata’s rendition of “Cinderella.” Sophia would like to thank Kathryn Barnard, Mark Anderson, and the Pittsburgh Camerata for giving her this incredible opportunity, and for pushing her to become a better singer and performer.
