Adam Whitlinger, Director of Product & Technology Solutions at enGen, offers a heartfelt reflection on his experience with infant loss during Pregnancy & Infant Death Awareness Month this October. A decade ago, Adam and his family endured an unimaginable tragedy when they lost their infant daughter, Ellen, to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

At the time, Adam was working in the financial industry, but this life-altering experience ignited a deep passion for helping others facing similar circumstances. It also revealed his capacity to affect meaningful change within the health care industry.
Today, Adam stands at the forefront of enGen’s mission to engineer a healthier world for all. His dedication, fueled by his personal journey, drives our commitment to enhancing lives and health care experiences. In honoring Pregnancy & Infant Death Awareness Month, we commend Adam for the strength and purpose he brings to our vision.

We’d like to give a big shoutout to our own HMDS Jacksonville print factory for exemplifying our Core Behaviors during the recent hurricane in Florida.
Hurricane Idalia was a powerful Category 4 hurricane that formed on Aug. 26, causing significant damage to Northern Florida – throughout this challenging time, our own Jacksonville print factory showed a very real example of taking care of our team members and the business. By invoking their business continuity plan and shutting down the shop on the evening of Aug. 29, Jacksonville-based employees were able to tarp and power down all equipment. With the storm having little to no impact on our clients’ mail, the next evening the team came back, powered everything up, and resumed production.
The Jacksonville print factory did a fantastic job exhibiting our core behaviors throughout this challenge; they were highly proactive, taking all necessary steps to keep our clients first. The dedication of this team is truly remarkable, and we want to applaud them for their unwavering commitment to delivering the highest level of service possible!
