It was Joe Biden who signed the legislation establishing Juneteenth as the nation’s newest federal holiday in 2021.
Thank you all for coming to our June social event! Special thanks to for being great hosts! We look forward to seeing you all again in less than two weeks (Monday, June 24) as we elect our brand new executive board!

[EVERY. VOTE. COUNTS.] Yesterday, the Arizona Supreme Court ruled that an 1864 abortion ban is now valid following the overturning of Roe v. Wade by SCOTUS in 2022.
Almost immediately, Democratic Attorney General Kris Mayes vowed to not enforce the ruling, something she can do, afforded by law, as the top law enforcement officer in the state.
Mayes won her election by 280 votes.
Here in Pennsylvania, five Democratic candidates are vying for the Attorney General spot.
In March, YDAC co-hosted a candidate forum with 3 of the 5, see here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/ZdsBAESB7e418wtg/?mibextid=WC7FNe
You can also read about all 5 here: https://www.spotlightpa.org/news/2024/03/pennsylvania-election-2024-attorney-general-primary-candidates/
Do your part. Vote on April 23, vote again on November 5.
