Living in Recovery was established in 2018, in loving memory of Joseph R. Botz, to provide a variety Living in Recovery is a community recovery center.

Whose mission is to provide a safe, peaceful and non-judgmental platform to aid the entire Berkshire County recovery community. This includes, family members, friends and supports. Emphasis is on making the recovery experience interesting, fun, and sustainable. Living in Recovery supports all pathways and stages of recovery

Memorial service for International Awareness Day remembers beloved Berkshire residents A ceremony honoring Berkshire County residents who lost their lives due to an overdose took place Saturday. The ceremony was run by Living Recovery with it being the 3rd annual ceremony of its kind to occur on International Overdose Awareness Day.

International Overdose Awareness Day (IOAD) – held on August 31 every year – is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose, remember without stigma those who have died and acknowledge the grief of family and friends left behind. In our Berkshire Community, we gather today to mourn, honor and remember those whose lives were cut short by overdose.

NORTH ADAMS

6:00pm City Hall: Have Hope Peer Recovery Center will host a standout in front of City Hall with guest speakers and a walk through downtown to show support for those who have been impacted by overdoses in this community and around the world.

PITTSFIELD

6:30pm The Common: Living In Recovery hosts a memorial in The Common, followed by a processional to Park Square, in remembrance of the lives we lost and to honor the friends and family members left behind.

GREAT BARRINGTON

6:00pm 67 State Road: Rural Recovery hosts a vigil at the South County Recovery Center to remember those gone too soon and commit ourselves to preventing these losses.

Pittsfield holds event to raise awareness of drug overdoses The city of Pittsfield held an event on Thursday to raise awareness of drug overdoses. Saturday is International Overdose Awareness Day. Mayor Peter Marchetti delivered a proclamation before raising the overdose awareness flag at City Hall.
